always happy when I catch this on RP. 🙏
I still like it. Always reminds me of another song, whose name I can't recall.
One of my favourite albums to listen to while gravel grinding or snaking through some old school singletrack through the Forests of the PNW. Not intrusive at all, just a wee bit trippy, and only enhances the Flow ..
kind of reminds me of gangster in paradise
I can sing  along U&ME wiht this song.
"Soon it will be cold enough"...

I sure hope so in sweltering 35 C and rising.

Enough of the Heat already!

Great song 4 chilling though.

🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
cold enough for what, though?

Making this a Clarence Greenwood Revival?
Not as good as Proud Mary, IMO.
it's like if enigma teamed up with leonard cohen

Alt J's Taro is effectively Emancipator's Anthem with singing over the top. I'm hoping Alt J paid him to use that exact progression for Taro?

Wonderfully haunting.

It sounds very similar but it's not the "exact" same progression.  This song's progression is Cm - Bb - Gm - F.  Taro's is Dm - C - Gm - F.

A ripoff of an alleged ripoff...

If it sounded like bittersweet symphony, I would have skipped it. Instead I gave it a 7.
I've always noticed Alt+J's "Tessellate" sounds like a dance version of Fever Ray's "If I Have A Heart", which predates it by five years.  Maybe reworking riffs is his thing.

Very true!
So is it a tribute? stealing? a rip-off?
Very ethereal. I love that word!

Well. It makes me think I should be driving a Jaguar through the mountains, but I like it in spite of myself.
A beautiful and haunting song.  Simply structured, but superbly executed.  Thanks for introducing me to Emancipator, RP!

Thank you RadioParadise for introducing me to Emancipator.  I can't truly convey how much i love his music.  I listen to one of his albums almost every day and it's become my go-to stress relieving music.

Indeed and you're most welcome.  Infact, Dr Fauci recommends you watch this movie please ... Men and Chicken

Enjoy responsibly ....
The best. 10
Thought this was a remix of an Alt-J track. Taro? Then see it came out 6 years earlier.
Quite nice though.
Wow. Love.
I'm 44 years old and still emancipate myself... thanks !
BillG - I'm really liking the new website layout, being able to track my Android app playlist on the website is super cool, esp. when I'm at work (as in, it looks like I'm working cuz I'm not 'on my device') so there's that...and having the Wiki page come up is super cool too.  Case in point is the Wiki page on Emancipator....now that I know about him (his dad had an eclectic music collection which helped spark his interest in music!) I'm finding I like this more than before.  Long Live RP!!
Hm. These chords again. And nothing to elevate it beyond that appraisal.

I once found an elevator with music. It's rare like a 4 leaf clover. I consider it my lucky elevator and I cherish the moment until this day.

Actually, if this was playing in an elevator I was in, I'd be more then happy. In fact, I'd probably keep in it and be dancing between floors.

not really

"Lifeless" music one member said and I think that sums this up. Second of this type of "music" in the last 4 or 5 tracks.

This music works quite well while touring the trails on my mountain bike..totally adds to the experience.  {#Cool}

You can sing most of Smells Like Teen Spirit to this. Wouldn't call it elevator music but not far off. Enjoyable in the mix.
I finally was able to order this CD at a reasonable price...Can't wait to get it in the mail from Japan

So many producing this lifeless type of ? music.

Maybe "so many" (not really very many) produce this type of music because so many people want to hear it.  What you find "lifeless" other people may find enlivening or inspirational.  You know, different strokes and all that; there are few rules.  Given that you rank "Autobahn" by Kraftwerk (also one of my favorite songs) a "10", it's peculiar that you would question whether or not this song or genre should even be considered music.

Nice backing track.
Excellent stuff.  Nightmare to get a hold of their early CD's tho.

Agree with that, although, I wish they'd actually use more of this kind of music into elevator or may be to close shops here in China instead of using  "Good bye" by Kenny G! Yes it is still very much in use, on the contrary of an article by the New York Times stating the end of the love affair between China and  this tune in April this year...
"Emancipator" is soothing and just fine for a good sleep. Not the best to start on a Monday morning, opposite side of the world  {#Laughing}

Quite like that, but I kept thinking that I recognised it.

Then I got it!

Love Emancipator, this one in particular with the violin solo.  I soar...perfect for watching Ryan the hummingbird in my garden.
