It's a democracy (of the bored, as I've heard Bill G. once describe it, or was it tyranny of the bored?). Jump in, open you mouth, and move the needle to where you think it should.
You know you are right and I try to refrain, but this forum is an outlet for my political discontent and it is actually a compliment to the members of this forum of why I do it here because I feel that most of us here are mature enough to vent our frustrations without getting personal unlike well anywhere else. lol I would not dare post the thoughts I have here on any other medium because quite frankly most people cannot handle political discussions or opinions without losing their Gotdang minds.
I contribute to the political threads pretty often, but I like to keep other topics near the top of the RAFT as well. It's annoying when the top twelve recent topics are essentially stirring up the same batter with a different fork or whisk.
I only post Basset hound or other animal related post on FB for the most part. And as for any other social media such as Twitter.....oh God no, I want no part of that place have never created an account and do not ever intend to.

Well it's been a while since I had time to peruse these boards. What happened to all the mindless fun topics? This seems to have become mostly mindless political topics. Is anyone's mind gong to change because someone quotes the latest news propaganda? I, for one, would prefer to talk sports, what I'm up to, what you're up to, word games, etc. and not get all worked up about something over which I have so little control. IMHO life is far too short to be spending brain cells on politics. But, that's just me.
That happens in election years plus every four years we get a Troll-A-Palooza around here. I have been trying to keep the irreverent, curious, and fun topics near the top of the RAFT but they keep getting buried. Oh well...
