I also have had the amazon RP app on my Kindle Fire HDX for several years (I now have the current version 3.5.10 from November 25, 2015), but I've never been able to enjoy it as it plays only about 1 second of each song, both in the main stream and the PSD option.

I have played with all of the cache options and all app settings repeatedly, I have tapped the buttons for Clear cache, Clear Data, and Force Stop in the device Settings>Applications>RP many times, I have used an app to clean data, and I have also uninstalled and reinstalled many times — all over a few months. I've just repeated all these steps, and searched online for this issue without success.

After doing these things, the RP app has always played the same: 1 second for each song. If I have the slideshow enabled, it will also change every second.

Do you think your Kindle developer would have a clue for me? Appreciate it, thank you.

freemusic, have you run across this problem on your Kindle Fire? Anyone else, please feel free to suggest suggestions...

My HDX has about the best sound quality of anything I've heard. Yet, it seldom plays more than one or two songs, before it starts repeating the same song over and over again. While it is sometimes great if you really like the song, eventually anything becomes tiresome.

When looking at the Kindle when it is repeating the same song, the pictures and title of the song that's supposed to be playing continues to advance without the music. After about 5-10 songs max, the player stops playing any music, while the pictures and song titles continue on.

My workaround is to constantly stop the app, then restart it. Most of the time, it does restart the music. But often, when it does restart, it also restarts the prior song as well.... Bach

But now, no one else seems to appreciate that.
