I don't believe that would work, though there's no harm in trying. The new version with improved cache control will probably be out in 2 weeks or so.

Sorry I'm a bit late to this, but I can move the app to my SD card. I'm also running a rooted Droid 4 and Cyanogenmod 12. Maybe that's the difference? But I understand the need. There's much more room on the card for the cache which may fill up the root partition.

Thanks, that's understandable. Until there's more effective control of the cache by the user, is it possible to copy the cache to the external SD card, then copy it back under the right circumstances(i.e.when wireless is turned off) to preserve the contents of the cache from deletion? MickyLuv

Hello, Can anyone tell me where the cache is stored on my android phone? Can I make a copy of the cache and play the file(s) inside it with a player such as VLC? (I can already do this on the PC using VLC) I see in the phone's application manager that the option to move the RP app to the external SD Card is greyed out. Is this a standard limitation of the app or just a problem with my particular phone?I just got the app for my android phone today and I'm trying out the cache option.
