so, i thought I was stabilized with the app, i had gone to Apple store and got a new iphone 6 with iOs 9.3.5
I reinstalled all my apps, and it seemed like RP was working, disabled cellular data for it, as well as selected wi-Fi only from in the app.

Seemed to work for a few weeks, but as of yesterday it does not.
I was playing from a fresh cache and it went silent, looked at my phone and the app had "closed" to the background.

but touch it to bring it "active" and the screen closes to the background again.

I was going to avoid the latest update from Early September, as my last choice to update to 3 versions ago, (2 earlier than the one i have on new phone)
has been challenging to be sure. I'm not giving up because I love the content and I really appreciate all that goes into creating it !!!

I have not tried any combinations of other apps open at same time to see if that makes it stay active, but after 2-3 hard reboots, and launching,
(attempting to launch) the RP app, it closes before you can hit any buttons to get into cache, or settings or anywhere.

I also have not tried various locations to see if cell signal, or wi-fi quality have any relevance.

hiccups, It's weird that the one I have in there now just started "crashing" after being fine, latest iOs from a factory new phone.

I can't send error log, because it won't stay open, or respond to hitting other buttons before it closes to the background.....

Fingers crossed 6.0.3 works, gonna delete what's on there now, and do a fresh install seems to be the only option.
I'm kinda surprised more people are not posting, I can't be the only one that has had glitches since going to the version that allowed multiple caches?
I don't recall version numbers, but 3 updates ago sounds right.

Thanks for all your work and efforts with this fantastic product !!! It must be frustrating at times. I appreciate all you folks do !!!

Very sorry about that.  Giacomo (our developer) just released a new version with numerous bug fixes.  Should be available in a few hours (it's in Apple's review queue).

Good for a couple days, then for unknown reasons, it crashes.
I can't send log since it crashes before I can do that.

Deleting again and reinstall, hoping for the best.

I thought I had it stable, but no deal.

Not sure what the variable is that causes it to go into crash mode.
I restarted my iPhone prior to deleting, it crashes just the same after restart.

To activate the 'I like' function, you need to have at least 100 songs rated 7+.  If you open our beta web player & click the 'settings' icon, then 'playlist settings', you'll be able to check out how many songs you'll need to rate.  Sorry that isn't clarified within the app.

I would like to add my thoughts as well. I think this new app is fantastic, especially the skip ahead feature. I have an iPhone 6s, Safari and i have used it extensively ( I was one of the testers) for the last week. However I did have problems with the PREVIOUS  version, cache would freeze etc.thats been fixed. there is however one feature that I would like to see brought back. PSD- I like.

Well, if i may add my two cents here.

I had problems with the OLD app for my iPod Touch. I stopped bringing it out with me on the road because it always eventually gave problems. It worked at home, though. Most of the times.

The newer App is nothing short of fantastic. Now i can bring my Touch with me on the road and listen to great music. The cache works great.

I know my minor contribution does not buy me any right to feel let down, I just don't see how such a huge setback can happen.

It really is completely unusable (for me) at this point.

Fun while it lasted.....thanks for any efforts you are making to iron this out. 

 

 
Cache loading was definitely broken. Especially with big caches at maximum bitrate. I apologize for this because,  well, I wrote the app. 

6.0.2 solves those problems, at least for the ~50 beta testers. You should delete the caches loaded with the previous versions and it will help to logout (from preferences) and log back in with yiir account.

If if you have a very old device it's better to have more smaller cache block than a big one (that sometimes crashes the app for the memory pressure).

The app still have some problems, and so has the backend, both have been completely rewrote (something we made for the better, of course, but apparently with no exceptional results, at least in a first instance). We hope that the biggest ones has been solved.

To to be honest, most of the problems comes from the fact that everyone listens differently. I, personally, listen mostly online and only load. Caches for quick underground trips... testing all the usage patterns is complex and, as you noticed, error prone. 

If if the app still crashes on you (shit happens, you know), send us the logs via preferences, feedback, malfunctioning or crash, if possible with a few rows explaining the problem. This way we can try to solve the problems and improve the app. 

Disclaimer: written on a phone, with a bad cellular connection (and I'm Italian), so please forgive my spelling and grammatical mistakes.

I have been a HUGE fan and even though I thought the "old" version 5.3 had some oddities, I just don't understand what was being attempted with the new 6.0.2

It has been noting but problems for me, freezing cache loading, constant crashing on both my iPhone and iPad, cache disappearing.
I can't decipher what the numerical values mean when you have 1 or more cache lists.

same issue..  I've rebooted, uninstalled, reinstalled to no avail..  can't tell if it's half full or half empty, but exit the app and it's deleted.

Hi 
I updated my iPhone and iPad to the latest RP app now the cache only loads to around 50% ?   I've got it set to maximum bitrate and 240 minutes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling still the same  and there's plenty of storage space on both devices.
 any idea how to fix it ?
