Saw one of those "list" of underappreciated rock guitarist and this list was very kind to Mr. Wilson; had him rated in the top 5. I was happy to see Prince and Alex Lifeson, 2 guitarist I have always thought did not get enough recognition. Prince, not enough recognition you say? I mean that Prince should be known first and foremost as one of the rock guitar Gods along with Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, Page so on and so forth. I was more referring to his studio skills and in particular as a mixer. The deeper I get into vinyl the more I'm learning about who is who when it comes to the engineering side. Tull's Benefit album was the first reissue I bought knowing that it was from a digital master. It's one of my desert island albums. I was one of those who thought that if it's not from an analogue master, then why bother. Benefit changed my mind completely. Good is good and great is great. So iffen I'm going to buy KC, In The Court Of ... I'm going with his mix. I just bought the new EU LZ I reissue, knowing that it too is from a digital master. Page is all hands on this. His engineering skills are under appreciated. It has two extra LP's from an old 1969 concert so if nothing else it'll be worth that cuz concert recordings are just not that critical as long as its from the soundboard. It arrived this past Friday and it's still sitting unopened waiting to be played. I have two old ones including a 1st press that is pretty well played so I will have something to compare it to and see what's up. Just went through my song ratings and I have four PT songs rated. Couldn't tell you what they are by the title or by listening to them if my life depended on it. The only way I would know would be by looking at the playlist while a song was playing. And Prince, a true Guitar God. Ain't no boubt adout it. And another renaissance man as well. So multi talented and skilled he was.

Pulled a shear screen across in front of the stage on a few songs then projected images into the screen while you could see the band behind. Get into this rocking drone sound while you veg'd out on the imagery. Fresh, different, Fun time. Demographic 30 to 60 year old dudes primarily.

Just saw this, Prince one of his idols. I did not even know that how synchronous to what I posted earlier. Kewl.
