Thanks, She will be deeply missed. Gone way too soon.  I feel crushed without her, but that's the bargain we make for all the great times with her.

Sadly, we understand it pretty well around here. I always liked that Av with her. I have a similar one with Shiloh. Need to find that. Thanks for being such an advocate for the critters.

Cassidy, aka the little black dog has crossed over.  She originally came from Taiwan, but we picked her up in Seattle as a pup 11 years ago. Since then she has been a stalwart travel and life companion. She's been to 4 countries and road tripped something close to 40 thousand miles including many trips all the way down the baja peninsula. She live with us on the boat for many years and was always game for a trip on the water too. All over the sound and well into Canada, she has slept at anchor and watched sunets and sunrises with me. She has romped on beaches all the way down the coast from British Columbia to the very tip of Baja California Sur. She has stood guard over us and participated in much fun and adventure all along the way. Even after many days on the road, she never hesitated to hop back in the car or jump up when her leash was rattled. When we weren't traveling, she was my shop dog. She hung out and vetted customers and delivery people, and basically was the nicest curmudgeon in the shop most days.

She was never fond of other dogs, so most of her life she was an only dog (she was pretty selective about people too). On one of our Mexico adventures, she took a liking to a goofy brown street dog. That dog - Lenny, came home with us and is now part of the pack and her legacy.

Farewell my sweet pup. We'll meet again on a beach someday.
