In a churchyard by a river
Lazing in the haze of midday
Laughing in the grasses and the graves

Yellow bird, you are not long
In singing and in flying on
In laughing and in leaving

Willow weeping in the water
Waving to the river daughters
Swaying in the ripples and the reeds

On a trip to Cirrus Minor
Saw a crater in the Sun
A thousand miles of moonlight later

Been out of rotation for a while? Last three comments 18, 16 and 11 years ago.  I think it was due for an airing.
That's not the cover of Relics that I remember...?

There was a reason that Pink Floyd was generally accompanied by a hit or two of acid. It's a nice enough tune ... but makes me think I should be stoned to properly appreciate it

Some reviews just don't cut it. Like this one on P.F.

Bucholic...

When Pimk was pure and Radiant, no egos involved
can't fall asleep...must work....can't sleep.... zzzzzzzzzzz It's a nice song but...We need somethign to perk us up a bit. ;)
Ah yes, the blissed out million mile gaze. With a grin just as wide. :goodvibes.gif: Quick somebody go for a munchie run!
oooh..... pass that bong, please
beautiful ...a summer song to lighten a grey winter's day in england
Oh for goodness sakes was this the best thing that happened all day!
Very nice... good way to end the day
I agree with Oviedo FL....the early Floyd showcases the tortured genious of Syd Barrett. If you like this listen to Gigolo Aunt and stuff from Syd's first album without his mates...after they tossed him out (deservedly so....I guess) Corporate rock sure has moved a long way away from the early days....keep playing these ear openning tunes. It's great for old and new listeners alike
Haunting... i heard this the first time early in the 70's, and have been hooked on the early stuff ever since....
Yea, this is the kind of PF deep cut that you need to play more often! Keep up the \"obscure\" floyd songs!
I like the little birds and the percusion mixed so genially in this tune. Supremo!
Though I have never seen the movie, this is one of my favorites from the Soundtrack More. Though I also like the Nile song that came right after it. :D
