C'est la vie
Have your leaves all turned to brown
Will you scatter them around you
C'est la vie
Do you love
And then how am I to know
If you dont let your love show for me
C'est la vie

Oh c'est la vie
Oh c'est la vie
Who knows, who cares, for me
C'est la vie

In the night
Do you light a lover's fire
Do the ashes of desire for you remain
Like the sea

There's a love to deep to show
Took a storm before my love
Flowed for you
C'est la vie

Oh c'est la vie
Oh c'est la vie
Who knows, who cares, for me
C'est la vie

Like a song
Out of tune and out of time
All I needed was a rhyme for you
C'est la vie
Do you give
Do you live from day to day
Is there no song I can play for you
C'est la vie

Oh c'est la vie
Oh c'est la vie
Who knows, who cares, for me
C'est la vie

This is, by far, the most pretension I've ever heard crammed into a single four minute period of time.

GREAT TUNE!   If you don't like it, hit the "skip button"! ...problem solved!
PLEASE PLAY SOME TUNES BY  "THE NICE"   Thank you!

Could you please qualify this comment?

always liked this song. yes, perhaps the cheese factor is just wee bit high, but don't care, his voice makes it work.

Just utubed it....quite enjoyable, despite me not knowing french!! But still, ELP's version, imo, has impeccable instrumentals and, above the rest, with his voice!! Thnx for sharing! I CAN say, I know the translation of title....."Such is life". Or something close to that!! Lol
Definitely not the "typical" ELP but, quite a fine piece of work.  Imo.
haven't heard this in 30 years. Completely forgot it.
Lake sounds really good on this.  It sounds like something else but can't place it.

Not ELP's finest moment, but a nice showcase for Greg's voice.
RIP.
Yup.  Here's Leon.
Love ELP, hate this song!

This song is ok just one to chilll to the solo guitar in the backgound at the begining and at the end of the song is so atmospheric.

Oh Boy! The first song I have uploaded that I heard played! OK, it's not a 10, but I like it. ELP's softer side.
So, it's you that we have to thank for this joyful moment.
Pretentious crap.

Then in true CA style, we should recall, and lobby :iamwith:
If CA can have a Terminator and Eraser for a governor, we ELP fans should at least get a PIRATE(s)!

already did. Couldn't even get it played on Talk Like A Pirate Day! :(

Not one of their better songs.
