These three sins have finally found me
Lust, ambition and greed
Creeping in the back door they came without warning
And burned whatever they could steal
They've burned whatever they could steal

So please could you go back where you came from again
We don't want to harm ya
We don't want to harm ya
We are not your armour
We're your friends

These three sins have fell from their horses
And taking me and you for a ride
Deliver us from evil when the devil disowned me
The serpents and the snakes will decide
The serpents and the snakes will decide

So please could you go back where you came from again
We don't want to harm ya
We don't want to harm ya
We are not your armour
We're your friends

So please could you go back where you came from again
We don't want to harm ya
We don't want to harm ya
We are not your armour
We're your friends

Sucky Corporate Radio wouldn't play Gomez, so you wouldn't have heard them anyway. long live Gomez, long live Radio Paradise! Leslie wrote:
Gomez is one of my favorite new bands thanks to RP. I never would have heard of them otherwise, since I don't listen to Sucky Corporate Radio.

Brilliant!
This could be verrry bad stimuli if one is suffering from various impairments. If this was a record playing, I would've sworn someone flipped it to 78 speed.

New to me and I like it...reminds me of a new Monkees...eeek!
Lots of theses songs evoke Kinks. Interviewed these guys once. A likeable bunch. Album really grows on you.
gomez rocks, this album is amazing, listened to it all the time last summer and I still love it. great stuff, just hope I can catch them live some time.
Gomez is good!

Everysong on this album is good...that is a rare thing. Play the whole thing. They just signed with ATO - run by Dave Matthews with the likes of My Morning Jacket, Ben Kweller, North Miss. Allstars... - coming out with a double disk live album....Awesome
Gomez rocks! More please...

Does anybody know (remember!) Stop Stop Stop by The Hollies? I think it's rather reminiscent of that. Much more uptempo though. Yes. This 51-year-old codger remembers it. There is a similarity there, and I, too admire Gomez. They played at the big ACL fest here in Austin last August and were very good.
Does anybody know (remember!) Stop Stop Stop by The Hollies? I think it's rather reminiscent of that. Much more uptempo though. From what I've heard Gomez, so far, it's a band to cherish. Love that funny, groovy bassline in this song in particular. It really keeps it going.
Thought this was the Meat Puppets at first. That's not a bad thing...
Wheeeeee!
Nice! Another band that I've seen in the last month around these parts. First time seeing them live and the show was fantastic. 6 guys up on stage, 2 drum kits, some keyboards and a handfull of stringed instruments made for an entertaining night.
:nodhead:
Nutty stuff. Gets a 6. I might have to change with repeated listening.
This isn't the best song on this album and this isn't their best album (all their albums are great, but I like Rough Stuff the best). Regardless, Gomez rules.
Gomez is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!!! :D
Dull and repetitious stuff.

Don't forget that these guys beat out Radiohead (ok computer) The Verve (urban hymns) for the UK mercury music award (same as U.S. Grammy) for their album Bring It On. Can't go wrong with the Gomez tracks
Sorry about the touchy Submit button!
I saw Gomez last night at the Fillmore here in Denver. Fantastic! Their live show is amazing. If you are into Gomez definitely go see them when they come to your town. You won't be disappointed. (click here) Thanks RP for playing their new tunes!
You play Gomez!!! This is absolutely the best music venue!
Doggone, Gomez has been getting a lot of airplay here...Fortunately for me, I like most of their stuff so far. :)
