Your mind and your experience call to me
You have lived and your intelligence is sexy
I want to know what you got to say
I want to know what you got to say
I want to know what you got to say
I can tell you taste like the sky 'cause you look like rain

You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain

You think like a whip on a horse's back
Stretched out to the limit, you make it crack
Send that horse round and round the track
I want to know what you got to say
I want to know what you got to say
I want to know what you got to say
I can tell you taste like the sky cause you look like rain

You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain
You look like rain

Yeah, you look like rain
You look like rain

I always love how this makes me think of John Martyn's "Solid Air"... Such a cool, dreamy, chill-out cocktail-lounge kinda jazz sound; dig...
Awesome!
25 years gone...
THE grooviest number by Morphine. One of the grooviest songs ever.
"Yeah, but what is it that you look like again?"
Thought it might be them. Sounds like the rehab era. Nice
Love Them. RIP Mark
Where has THIS been the past few years?! So great to hear it (again) on RP!
More Twin Peaks, please.
Staring out on a wet rainy day while listening to this...
you lɔɔk like Greg
New one on me.  Sort of reminds me a bit of M Ward in the vocals; really enjoy the laid back, slightly smokey late-night vibe....

Looks like grain.

No Doubt before Mophine, there 's something wrong here...

Mophine     10

Bless their hearts, Morphine; a stoner's fave band live, like, ever. Long long LONG time ago, of course. (Just in case potential employers troll RP comments.)
These guys always get their 7. Always.
no sir........for once TODAY in Seattle it looks like SNOW!
This is SO sexy...
Some of their songs make me feel like wearing black, skinny pants and black be-bop sweater and walking around snapping my fingers... {#Daisy}

I think that was the beginning and end of your career as a humorist.

Today it look like SUNschine. 9pm, sitting in the garden with a good glas of cold whitewine, 25 degree celsius, listen toRP ....
Looks like rare summer rain gonna hit Sacramento very soon.

As a wee lad, I thought they were singing that Puff's green scales "fell like grain."  I think I pictured wheat chaff or something.

"you have lived, and your intelligence is sexy"
possibly one of the sexiest things ever said

this is nice...smooooth. The rains been threatening here for days, now. got a little bit on the walk home from work yesterday, but would have been much happier with an all out downpour.

Nice rain set:

11:48 am Morphine You Look Like Rain
1:43 am Bruce Cockburn The Coming Rains
I am a stripper.. and this is my theme song! phoenix wrote:

"Hey, we bought this thing... cost us $8000, you're damn right it needs to be on every song!". Actually, I just looked up the Selmer MKs and the are like 16k these days.
Fantastic band with a tragic demise.
If I were a stripper, this would be my theme song!

And today. Bill seems to like repeating segues.
Time to pull in the rains, Bill.
Quintessential late night music. I like, but time is almost noon here and there is a blazing sun outside. I'm confused.

That is totally what I thought too....in fact, having driven across Canada, through the Prairies, I appreciated the simile more before I found out it was "rain" Rain is wet, grey, cold. Grain is sensuous, flowing, smells like warm toast in the sun

Thanks, you've now ruined this song for me... on the upside, at least I'll laugh anytime I hear it now.
Good, but it sounds just like Cowboy Junkies' "Working On A Building."

Right. "On July 3, 1999, Sandman collapsed on stage at the Giardini del Principe in Palestrina, Italy (near Rome). He was soon pronounced dead of a heart attack and Morphine immediately disbanded." From (click here)
More Morphine.

Any dibs on RED RAIN playing next??
There is only one person I've in mind to "play" this one with ... Ouuuuu la la Sexxxy Stuff...
Beautiful cover, and I love the low sax sound. Is it a Bass sax? I don't know reed instruments. But I gotta admit, the GRAIN thing does get to me. Not in a good way. Otherwise a very likeable song. I am glad RP revealed Morphine to me.
I lovelovelove Morphine. Sandmans voice and that sax - YUUUMMM! I cant ever get enough. Lily
Agree with all the negatives below, and add that it and its darned horns go on forever. I can't explain why I hate the brass, especially the saxophone, so very much. Also dislike woodwinds. Somebody should construct a psychological instrument to explain what likes and dislikes in musical instruments signify. (Pun intended.) Allmusic.com fails to include "jazz" as a Morphine typing, but it sounds jazzlike to me. The band broke up in 1999. Not too ssssooooon.
