Not enough bongos and trumpets for you?
Penny whistles. As soon as someone starts playing the bloody penny whistle.........
This sounds like the kind of music commissioned to be performed during the Voting at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Not enough bongos and trumpets for you?
8 years later - still cannot sit still to this! Bloomin marvellous.
That's got to be the stupidest thing I ever read.
I agree. For me, those listed are not my taste, so for me it is possible to go wrong with them. Bring on the different inventive stuff!
C'mon I dare you!
Hah! I knew you would.
This song takes me back to all that happiness and energy. Love it.
That's got to be the stupidest thing I ever read.
Ever? The stupidest thing...Ever? I'd suggest a new reading list that begins with some of the absolute batshit crazy "science" that climate change deniers spout. Then move on a treatise on trickle down economics. And for a real mind numbing, sample some flat-earther nonsense...
Some guy's opinion about what music is being played doesn't even touch the levels of complete and utter human imbecility that exist and is quickly becoming more normalized everyday...so just whoa up on the hyperbole a bit there..
Gonna go a road trip out west: Black Hills, Devils Tower, Little Big Horn, Badlands, and Wounded Knee.
Its a Further meets On The Road meets Zen and Motorcycle meets Fear and Loathing meets Easy Rider, kind of road trip. To find America.
I'm developing a huge play list. I'm bringing this band along for the road trip.
And when you are done up there work your way down to Bryce, Zion and 4 Corners.

All Afrocelt fans, including me, owe him a debt of gratitude, and will remember him fondly. As the chant says, may the black deer be with you.
Agreed. Painful even.
I get fed up with people leaving lengthy comments about how much they dislike a piece of music or a track, or a band or musician. It's really simple - if you don't like a track, you can PSD. You can witch to another mix. OK, I get it, you hate Sting or you've heard too much Afro Celt Sound System, or too much of this or that. Cool, good to know. No one is forcing you to listen to anything you don't like - which is both a blessing and a curse Listen to something you've never heard before and sure, maybe you don't like it, but it'll be over in two minutes or you can fucking PSD and stop complaining. I appreciate reading your stories, even your bad experiences, that are attached to or inspired by a particular track, or about how music can lead us to different places, how one track can connect to another, or even simply that you freakin' love Coldplay, and why. But, seriously, dude, I don't care who you hate. If that's all you got, if the variety here on RP is not enough, or not to your liking then go somewhere else. There is a universe of music steaming out of your speakers. Go find something that fills your soul.
Now that is a lengthy comment.
This is terrible. Have heard enough Celtic to last a lifetime on RP. ...
If you think *this* is Celtic, you've got another think coming.

This is beautiful ❤️😊
Totally agree, they are awesome
Bollocks.
This may be repetitive, a bit of alternative easy listening, but it's fine aural. And great driving music. I bombed down a few gorgeous Utah roads with this on high volume.
Thanks for the advice. I was listening to this on a low volume and I realized that at the moment I have the house to myself and turned the speakers up. This is very nice to listen to with good speakers and some volume!

I think I'll stick with the Gaelic on this one
Extended? This song comes in at 10:30, that's average for me, not extended.
Some take the express lane, some take the scenic route, but we all gotta' make that trip...
I had to check to make sure I wasn't double streaming.

Surprised to see this comment was made post Trump.

Same!
Thankfully for us, you have other options.
The best thing about this station is we dont have to be bored with songs we grew up with over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over! Shall I go on?
That's got to be the stupidest thing I ever read.
This is what I love about RP. Variety. This is not a classic rock station. Just skip to the next song if it doesn't suit your taste.
No, we can't go wrong with the Stones, the Allmans, etc. Except with those cuts that former commercial radio listeners have each been forced to hear about 7,499 times. But FM doesn't have a PSD, except CTC, change the channel. Here, we can remain at RP for the duration of the day or, for all I know, the whole damn week and not hear anything we don't want to. I call that progress. As for me, at least, this IS a classic deep cut, in large part because it's positive and upbeat, it's fun open road driving music, and it's not Rocket Piano Man's Bennie Jet Space Oddity Stairway to Heaven.
8 --> 9
Yes Irish melodies combined with African rhythms - a winning combination.
Matching your bump to 9!

There must be stations for you which play only Classic Rock; that seems to be all you like.

Sinéad? Heaven forbid.

I just bumped by 7 to an 8, this tune really starts cranking in the 2nd half of the 10+mins - and my thoughts are the track name "Mojave" is kinda funny cuz I'm thinking Arctic (i.e. it sounds like the Titanic music to me.)
Long Live RP!
Anyway, I like the style, very unique. The rhythm is wicked.
Reminds me of that episode of M.A.S.H. when Radar was playing the drums
I know he sings in Gaelic.

Precisely. Love this whilst I edit photos.
I'm thinking that, along with programming, and other such activities, about the only thing this track is good for ... or maybe trippin' on acid.
But 10 minutes of droning is too much for anything else. Thankful for PSD.

You're a cruel man, Poacher. But fair.

+1.
Little did I know how thin it would sound this many years later. Meh.

Endless monotony even worse! Make it stop!
But I like it anyway. Thom Yorke isn't droning and Arcade Fire isn't drowning in its robodrumming.
everything sounds a bit the same.
played alot here.
Saw these guys perform this infront of a group of unbelievers (Thomas Covenant take note!) and they converted them by the middle of this track.
A seething mass of humanity swaying, baying, hooting, all having a great time. Hypnotised.
A great performance.
