Oh, darling
Please believe me
I'll never do you no harm
Believe me when I tell you
I'll never do you no harm
Oh, darling
If you leave me
I'll never make it alone
Believe me when I beg you—ooh!
Don't ever leave me alone
When you told me
You didn't need me any more
Well, you know, I nearly
Broke down and cried
When you told me
You didn't need me any more
Well, you know, I nearly
Broke down and died
Oh, darling
If you leave me
I'll never make it alone
Believe me when I tell you
I'll never do you no harm
Believe me, darling
When you told me (whoo)
You didn't need me any more
Well, you know, I nearly
Broke down and cried
When you told me
You didn't need me any more
Well, you know, I nearly
Broke down and died
Oh, darling
Please believe me

I just fkn love this song. Got the record for my 11th birthday and it’s one of the few albums that still sound fresh to me.
Holy Smokes. Sounds so good today. Thanks RP Crew!
Good Lord, I play this with the sub-woofer up and MARVEL at the power of this wonderful, fun song!
One of McCartney’s hidden gems. Lennon thought it suited his voice, and he wanted to sing it. He never said that about Obladi Oblada (if you know what I mean).
Nowhere to go other than north of 10 from here.
EXCELLENT! Thanx RP!
Macca scream at it's finest!
just yesterday I read an article about John who believed the song fits his voice much better - compare to I want you (she's so heavy).
Still I love Paul's energy here and it seems to be a kind of outlook of what came later - check the Wings over America double LP for more

Mellow mix?
A delightfully and deliberately over-the-top reworking of a well worn, even in 1969, trope. Masterful.
Sublime. McCartney's vocals, as mentioned, ridiculous. The previous comment, "schmalzy and pathetic". Seriously?
I love the Beatles, but this is a bit too schmalzy and pathetic for me! Even though I appreciate Pauls singing!
BILL - PLAY THIS BLEEDING BLOODY SONG ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't believe how little this has been played!
Fantastic! Just listen to the power and soul that Paul puts into his voice!
A definite 10!
Rating = 10. What else could it possibly be?
