I just want to be your lover
No matter how it ends
No matter how it starts
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Fall off the table
And get swept under
Denial, denial
The infrastructure will collapse
From voltage spikes
Throw your keys in the bowl
Kiss your husband goodnight
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Fall off the table
And get swept under
Denial, denial
Denial, denial
''(Your ears should be burning)''

Oh my, I can see where this is going!
Gotta get that "1" vote count up!

and the 'no problem' solved for us, ie those of us who like radiohead.
And there are some of us that listen to RP like it was an awesomely curated radio station. I just listen to what they play next. I may have used the skip button once in the past few years.
This is the second Radiohead song in six hours. I don't get why we hear them every single day. Every day we hear a Radiohead song, and on some days, like today, we hear more than one. Can we please have a break? I love Bill and Rebecca, but the way the station latches onto artists like this and plays them all the time makes the station hard to listen to at times.
William also plays a lot of Paul Simon. I respect the talent PS has, but, for some reason I am not a fan. I just skip those, or sometimes I listen and try to get a better feeling as to what I'm missing.

i love this.
i can hear hints of Nick Drake.
Alba ...tross.
Love it. It's not a problem. It's just there. This is a gorgeous track. And so is "Albatross".
albatross by corrosion of conformity? yeah, that's a great track.
Cool percussion and some sneaky deep bass also - giving the subwoofer a workout!
There is distortion in the mix, and being Radiohead, I'm guessing it's intentional. I do wish it wasn't there, but still think this is just an excellent song.
So many layers in the mix (timing, timbre, rhythms) that take you places while listening in a comfortable place. Since I listen a lot at work, it is not the place to go deep into 'listening land'. :-)
Hey kids: the Emperor is not wearing clothes. It's OK to say they suck.
Live concert started with rather experimental music, but hey.. it's Radiohead, right? So the audience was really excited to hear the "new tunes" and as the first notes drifted away gave the band a standing ovation.
Turned out not to be Radiohead though, but the roadies doing a soundcheck
In a democratic society, and especially on the internet, you gotta expect people to feel inclined to say what they want.
Nobody is interested in people's hateful opinions on music. That's the point. We aren't talking about "not my favorite Radiohead" comments, but "Radiohead is dogshit" comments. What purpose does it serve? We aren't upset because somebody is hating on Radiohead, but because they are hating on music. People are free to say what they want, you say. Okay, here's what I'm going to say. Your point is empty and encouraging negativity. Sometimes people need to be told that their hate is not welcome. Your defense of hate is not welcome either.
Going +1 on this based on the cool sounding percussion on this one.....it's an 8 and up there for me on RH tunes; LLRP!!

That sentiment would explain a lot of people's dislike of a such a proven talent. I hope you come to terms with your memories and can get back to just loving radiohead!

Sorry, Russ but you are most definitely in the minority here with, as of this writing, 22 one votes and 122 ten votes and an average of 7.6 ... but you knew that, so I will stfu

Do their occurrence follows any pattern ?
I'm not sure what Radiohead was using to produce that warm guitar, but if it was synthesized in any way, they sure did a great job of replicating that old tube-amp sound. Anyone out there know what the arrangement was?

The ratings for this song (and most of their music) make your opinion a minority and your link irrelevant.
Enjoy stewing in your unhappiness. When I don't care for a song (rarely outside of Dylan) on this most excellent internet radio experience, I simply hit PSD and hope its a Radiohead song.

The fact that my heart cries a little bit now is like a proof of concept for good music.
Also a very good album!
Man that sucks. Too bad you can't compartmentalize your feelings for both - there's no reason why some a-hole should ruin the music for another person. I'll never forget having a particularly traumatic experience in my youth while Tom Petty's "Refugee" was playing in the background. Rather than dwell on the pain of the event every time I heard that song, I drew strength from my (modest) recovery. To this day it's one of my favorites.
Excellent quote, although I think talent also has something to do with it.
Stand under it and wait ....

Well, because this is a music site and the comment is about music —- if you can call Radiohead that.
A lot of Radiohead's stuff (for instance, Go To Sleep, Knives Out, Nude, No Surprises, Reckoner, especially Creep) elicits the same response from me, although I've gotten to the point where I can tolerate this particular track.
So, why don't you and the rest of the Radiohead fans just move on and let those of us who don't buy it have our say? A lot less electrons will be wasted that way.
Nice description of this song, Cynaera. I'm wrapping up work on a Friday afternoon and it fits the bill. Lets me bob gently in my seat. Although if Jigsaw or one of the tenser Radiohead songs came on, I could dance in my seat if necessary.

Couldn't agree more, I really feel they've hit a high note with this album. In my opinion probably one of top 5 albums ever made.
I just hope they keep on climbing that ladder.
A tip to everyone that is enjoying in rainbows, RH in general or just to all you out there who don't really enjoy them - find and have a look at a live session called "From the basement". I have never seen a recorded live/jam-session as intense and vivid as this one!
All of my music-freak-friend that I have shown "From the basement" to have become as blown away as me, and are now hardcore RH-fans. And this despite the fact that many of them never have understood any of Radioheads geniality before.
Can't be bought, only downloaded as far as I know.
I'm a huge radiohead fan, but it seems like I only get it long after everyone else does. I'm just now starting to really like this album
Cool.
surreal
kinda wanna float on a beach right now and drink cool beach drinks
Better get used to Radiohead, cause you'll be hearing them for a long long time as long a there are stations like RP around.
Don't try to reason with californiatwin, rather, enjoy the blank space where he has not posted. . .

Jesus, that's just what we need is more mutant noise.
My vote is for some actual rock music. Really, anything but Radiohead will do.
BTW, it's 12.37 am NYC time and I see Bill has played no Radiohead for the last six hours.
Small victories ...
Sunny autumn morning in Düsseldorf, perfect blue skies, cold but fresh ...
I mean, it's great when ppl have visions and dreams in their life.
Passion for a better world!
Some save the rainforest, others save RP from Radiohead. I mean: Where's the difference?!
As long as it makes you feel alive - fight on! Fight on!
Although I love Radiohead, I feel we are fighting on the same side.
Best regards, have a nice one!
And, to be especially eclectic, something from Thom Yorkes solo project.
La vie est belle!

Here we go AGAIN!!!
Exactly. I mean, what's "eclectic" about that?
TOO MUCH F**CKING RADIOHEAD
Here we go AGAIN!!!
Nope. Any wet fish will do to slap Thom Yorke across the chops ;-)
Exactly. I'll use a Lake Scugog perch.
Agreed. Rainbows has been a prominent part of my life's soundtrack for several months now . . . brilliant performance, superb production. I thank Bill and RP for introducing me to this wonderful music.
Imagine my surprise when I click on the link to this song, curious what other listeners are saying about something that will obviously attract or repulse people, and find instead personal attacks and flaming. If you two want to go at it, find your own thread on the "We're both assholes" message board and leave this for intelligent conversation.
I really enjoy this song for its ephemeral qualities, though I can certainly understand why it would grate some ears.
point taken, but californiatwin is still an oxygen thief. . .
You do searches on a site with SELF assessment tests for assholes? WOW, you must really be a big one. Wait a minute! What are you doing there? You aren't looking for a date there, are you? I guess that might explain HOW you became such a big asshole, er rather how you got one.

I used "californiatwin" as a search keyword and that site came up three times, you "go figure," smart guy. . .
You do searches on a site with SELF assessment tests for assholes? WOW, that explains most of your remarks, and why you like such crap music.
That would make me plead for a return to waterboarding!
gosh. . . I'm so underwhelmed by your false pity and the trite anti-intellectualism of your "joke."
Let me help you make the transition back into modern society, try this link:
Are You A Certified Asshole?
You obviously haven't made the transition, but you seem to know about a site promoting a self ASSessment test for assholes! Go figure!
It's amazing that they were giving this CD away for free on their website.
I believe you. It's causing me great torment & anguish.....
I find it soothing

Yes, and then there were the fireworks. And I liked the people. Nicest crowd of 75,000 I've ever gotten temporarily intimate with!

They're winning, you know.
If you want to see what kind of a rout it is, scroll back through the playlist.
There is no other artist that gets close to the amount of play that Radiohead does here.
And I'm spending way too much time with the mute button on.

You know that thing some kids did when they didn't want to hear something?
Put their hands over their ears and went "LA LA LA LA LA" really loud?
Now that I think about it, it would sound better than Radiohead.
Oddly enough, I'm beginning to like you. . .

I'm with you on this one, ignore the one-word mudslingers

For me, In Rainbows is quickly climbing into that rare air. Every time I listen to it, I like it more and more. I've never really been captured by anything Radiohead has done before, but this album is amazing. The rhythms that Phil Selway weaves in and out of the music, the guitar and bass magic of the Brothers Greenwood. And Thom Yorke's voice. Not really a great voice, I don't think. But no other voice in the world could so wonderfully meld all of those great songs into a great album.
Thanks, RP, for turning me on to a masterpiece.
Radiohead is such utter garbage.
