I want to say it's to me to change the world
Now I want to play 'til they kicking down the door
Now I'll be alright as long as I ain't seen it all
Now I'm gonna hold you tight to that night we had a ball
We had a ball
Here's to the kids out there smoking in the streets
They're way too young but I'm way too old to preach
They know it all but they still ain't seen the truth
Just play my song and I'll show it all to you
Either way you caught me whilst a lying
You caught me whilst a lying
You caught me with my pants down
My papa's slave had to go and fight the war
He'd beat 'em all then he took 'em all to court
My papa called and he said, "D'you remember me?"
Now he's working awful hard in his factory
Either way you caught me whilst a lying
You caught me whilst a lying
You caught me with my pants down
We ain't even been to the ocean
We been running barefoot this spring
We been running barefoot through this spring
We ain't even been to the ocean
Now I want to play 'til they kicking down the door
Now I'll be alright as long as I ain't seen it all
Now I'm gonna hold you tight to that night we had a ball

Why so often Kings of Leon with quacky voice and shallow texts......
Might be an acquired taste, but I'll give it a 6 - they are a talented bunch.
This perfectly shows how fantastic this band once was!

KoL is and always will be far better than Blues Traveler. Could not stand John Popper's singing and crappy harmonica playing.
Interesting how Kings of Leon sounds like Blues Traveler from the 90s.

Still sucks?! It never has. His raspy vocals are great.
Gotta say I love the guitar in this song. But the guy's voice still sucks.

Sucks from the outset.
