When I need to replace her
I am the Mind Eraser
Anything goes, yeah, any-thing goes
Got this sin in our brain
That she ain't gonna see me again
See me again, this I know
But Oh, deep down I can't let go

Oh, now let it be over, over
Oh, now let it be over, let it be over, over

Seein' me stack up my woes
Into a wall, around a rose
Mind erodes, and now she knows
Oh, it hurts so, I can't let go

Oh, don't let it be over, over,
Oh, oh, don't let it be over, let it be over, oh oh
Oh, don't let it be over, over
No, dont let it be over, over, oh.

I really like this band, but, this is not one of their best tunes.

Your mother performed quite well when I filled her space.

🤘Rock on, Bill!

In lieu of todays event.....great choice  !!

Netflix releases El Camino...( Breaking Bad Movie)
When I hear these guys lately I think of Wells Fargo and I don't like it.

My thoughts precisely! {#Cool}
{#Roflol}TURN IT UP{#Bananajam}
Simple but very effective song. Which seems to be their trademark.
Song Eraser would be better. Worst production on the planet. Just sounds so syrupy.
Just go see them, they are the real shiznit.
They know how to add a hook to a song, but bad guitar playing, mediocre vocals... I think they reflect the lack of good/inspired hard rock bands out there today.
That's why RP is magic!

Doves - Cumpulsion
The Stone Roses - Love Spreads
The Black Keys - Mind Eraser

Bullshit. Sorry.  {#Heartkiss}

Indeed.

And I've been the son of a bitch in these lyrics too.

Right now, this is my favorite BK song. Love that bass line...
There songs are good, but I find listening to, and watching these guys live MUCH more interesting than listening to their records.

I have an even better idea.  If you don't like reading comments...let's just listen to the music AND not read the comments.
Pfffft.  Justin Bieber is like, so much better.  {#Rolleyes}

As a previous poster commented, the redundancy is amazing. I was convinced this was a different song, that I decided I liked a lot and gave it a rating before realizing it was a different song, but so similar I was momentarily confused. Needless to say redundancy on RP gets triple penalty points.
Helluva an album: Motown, T.Rex, rock and roll, etc.

That's cause they all sound exactly the same which is fine but does not do well with repitition. I couldn't even listen to a whole album of these guys.  I mean there is nothing wrong with them and all but one of their songs every blue moon works better.

Try Bronski Beat or Erasure with a pink Martini!
Not their best song - still a 7 (and I hate all this 7's here!).

THAT is my new most favorite video ever!!!!
Thanks for the link!!!
No they don't manage to, and they're not pushing the edges. They're poseurs pointing at something and falling short.

Not to me friendo.  I could hear a 5 second blast from any track they have done and instantly give you the album.  I mean just the difference in production styles from say Rubber Factory and El Camino gives it a totally different slant for me.
How bout a Black Keys eraser? All their songs sound the same, stupid and annoying, grating, yuk. Stupid!

Why not play some old Free or Black Oak Arkansas? Black Keys are over-rated and on my last nerve, every time. Why, RP?

Let it be over!!

Totally disagree.  If you're going to be obsessed it might as well be with the awesome Black Keys as they don't have any bad songs.

One catchy song after another. They keep amazing me.
I just keep falling deeper in love with these guys and their sound.  There's nothing like a band or a muscian/artist who truly has their own sound.  The eyes closed and "I know who this is" instant slap.  A tip of my hat to The Black Keys, may they continue their art without compromise.

I think it's about time to tone down the black keys obsession Bill.....  7 plays this month, it's only the 13th and that's just this song....

Plays in past month = plays in last 30 days.  7 plays = once every 4 days or so.  Seems about right for this excellent recent release. It'll be down to a couple of times per month before much longer.

Oh, now let it be over, over Oh, now let it be over, let it be over, over.

I kept agreeing.

Saw them over the weekend at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. One of the best shows I've seen in a very long time. Those guys bring it. 4 stars........ Funny, as I write this Baltimore from Randy Newman comes on. I'm leaving now.

I hope Heart is getting some residuals for that riff they stole borrowed.  Oh what the hell, there are only like ten chords you can do on a guitar without having 6 fingers so rock on.
Next time I bay an album it will be El Camino!
That´s so cool combination: Twillight Zone and Black Keys! Congrats Bill!
WHAT is that riff from?  Heart?  Does anyone else hear it?  "Quite some ti-iiime.  I been sitting it out."

Right?  Am I straight on, or what? Tongue Out

Nice! I upgraded from 7 to 8 hearing it tonight. Thanks for playing it!

If only they had a lyricist of the same caliber as their skills as instrumentalists they would definitely be contestants for best band out there today.

But they don't, and no matter how talented these two are at crafting catchy, rock ditties that recall some of the best rhythm and blues influences from bygone eras, their music will never transcend the level of "good" to the level of "great."

My worthless advice: lose the effects on the vocals and start writing music that's actually about something lest your audience begin to suspect that there's no there, there.

Would anyoone  out there trade me several average cds for this one ?     anyone ?

I know what you mean, though I'm not sure you're right, at least going by the second album songs I've heard so far on RP. This is a pretty standard rock number, right enough, but the others had the variation and 'chunkiness' that I remember from their last album. I hope they do keep their originality as they managed to pack a lot of innovation into a standard guitar & drums combo.

Not their second album Fred. . . this is their seventh. . .

Hmm. I thought they were already a great rock'n'roll band. BTW, isn't this 3.0?

LOVE this band.
This is cool
 Seems everything I've heard on this album so far I like.
