Told you not to worry
But maybe that's a lie
Honey, what's your hurry?
Won't you stay inside

Remember not to get too close to stars
They're never gonna give you love like ours

Where did you go?
I should know
But it's cold and I don't
Wanna be lonely so show me the way home
I can't lose another life

Hurry, I'm worried
The world's a little blurry
Or maybe it's my eyes
The friends I've had to bury
They keep me up at night

Said I couldn't love someone
'Cause I might break
If you're gonna die, not by mistake

So where did you go?
I should know
But it's cold and I don't
Wanna be lonely so tell me you'll come home
Even if it's just a lie

I tried not to upset you
Let you rescue me the day I met you
I just wanted to protect you
But now I'll never get to

Hurry, I'm worried

Where did you go? I should know
But it's cold and I don't wanna be lonely
Was hoping you'd come home
I don't care if it's a lie

You should follow this up with "When You Sleep" by Cake.
Boring...
One or the few bright spots of 2020😃
I'm really liking Billie Eilish.
I wonder what happened to Laurie Anderson?
I agree with many others that there is some real talent underlying these works, making me want to root for her and hear more. That said, that synthesizer thingee I've heard in all her work so far will sound so dated and yesterday in a few years, boxing her into the group of artists long forgotten for being one trick ponies. She'll have to reinvent herself to maintain a career. And she might be good enough to do it, as she gains confidence.

She still lives at home with her parents and her brother (who she made this recording with) so that's a good sign. She seems very down to earth so far. I too hope she stays away from the bad stuff as I too think she is very talented.

No thanks

She's the most unique new sound I've heard in a long time, rises well above the pop plains.

And I've been around a long time... :)
This is pretty much the only music my 13yo and I can agree on, so she must be doing something right.
Another pop fad that will be gone soon enough.
This song is layer after layer after layer.  The more I hear it, the more I like it.
The empress has no clothes!
I haven't gotten into her music yet but I have to say I really like this tune.

And unlike Th*m Y*rke, she's actually a female and actually whispers (unlike his usual moaning). With that being said, I doubt his masculinity as well.

Maybe Thom is also - her? In that case, all is forgiven.
Long live RP!  Although I'm not sure I like Ms. Eilish, I'm confident I wouldn't hear her anywhere else...

One must listen to her whole discography to realize her talent at such a young age. First album put out at age 15 after being classically trained. The fact that teenage angst, and a general pop genre is being mixed into the recipe should not keep her musical talent from being overlooked.

Thank you. Very well said. I've seen and read as much about her & her brother, as I could find so far. I really hope she sticks with it....psyched to see what they do in the years to come. H8ers need to appreciate the artist, if not the music. Imo, they are absolutely fantastic!!

Perhaps you may look into more about her & her brother. Amazing story and, c'mon...just look at what she's achieved, at such a young age!! Cut the kid some slack!! She's more accomplished than many of her veteran peers!!
A talent the whole family can agree on. From this 50-something white man, to my 40-something Puerto Rican wife and lastly our 15 year old and 12 year old girls. As Bill said, you have to respect her talent but most importantly, her refusal to be sexualized by the recording industry. A real role model for my daughters.

Yeah, I've heard that, and I like it better than this. I think her "thing" is pretty interesting, but overall, lacking in dynamism, making it seem monotonous and 'one trick pony' -like.
Meh.  No. Fey.  Musicianship? Can these production methods even spell it?  P-a-s-s-i-o-n.  Try that one. It's almost depressing.
"The friends I've had to bury"  WTF! She is 17|!

Well, I'm a little torn here, BillG is playing new music that I don't yet like fully.  I think I've gone w/ a 6 on the few tunes we've heard here, including this one, which I'll go +1 to because Billie's middle name is "Pirate"...that's gotta be worth at least 1 rating point....Long Live RP!!  Keep the new tunes coming, BillG!

Reminds me to pick up a washer for that dripping faucet.

Nah. Just saying. Next.
Listening to Bill talking about Billie... oh yeah, he's CRUSHING.

While her Wikipedia photo looks pretty average for a 21st century Goth, her album photo looks like a Stephen King book cover.

Music is pretty cool, though.  7.

I think it is the Exorcist / Linda Blair vibe.

I don't get the hype either. I mean, it's interesting and I kind of like it, but I really don't think I could tolerate listening to a whole album full of this cutesy whispery stuff.

What a mess of music :S
