You say I'm the greatest bound for glory
Well the word is out and I learned
I got the latest side of the story
You're pulling out before you get burned

Well your hands are squeezing me down to the bone
I never saw you breaking no law
Stands to reason I've got to leave you alone
What you taking me for

You're setting me up to put me down
You're just making me out to be your clown
You're just setting me up to put me down
You better give it up (give it up) yeah give it up
Quit your messing around

You think I care about your reaction
You think I don't understand
All you wanted was a piece of the action
Now you talk about another man

You're setting me up to put me down
You're just making me out to be your clown
You're setting me up to put me down
You better give it up (give it up) give it up
Quit your messing around

I want to hear zztop do this one!!!!
Always in to music as a kid, listened to LPs on folks dodgy rig after school every day.
Heard Sultans of Swing on AM radio as a kid, when if first came out, thought it was ... okay.
Fast forward to hearing "Money For Nothing" in mid-80s, in highschool.  Fun at first, but overplayed at the time.
Then, couple years later in university residence, buddy next to me had the first proper hi-fi kit I'd ever seen/heard.   And on this Nikko/Rotel/Paisley set-up I heard the Dire Straits first album.  Blown away.
Have been a huge fan ever since, of Dire Straits and good quality hifi gear, both.

Long live Mark Knopfler, long live RP.
Holdin' it's own!

Have never heard this before...great!

Unfortunately, RP uses a similar guitar lick to segue into...Cake's "Let Me Go."

Cake, you are free to leave anytime.

I'll take your CAKE and ….well....

I'm a bigger fan of the Clapton version of this on the "Just One Night" concert in Japan - that version gets a 10 from me...this one an 8.  Long Live RP!!  And CAKE too!!!

Yes, there is a real shortage of Dire Straits around here. /sarcasm

RP is making up for the dearth of Dire Straits throughout the word today. If not for this, our Mark Knopfler oasis, the oceans would boil away...

Hey at least Bill doesn't play unkillable-zombie songs of FM yesteryear like The Boys of Summer oh wait

And once again following this gem is Cake's "Let Me Go." Akin to sipping Veuve Clicquot and chasing it with fermented Kool-Aid.
And play this track over and over for the first millenium...

settin me up
put me down....
Just after they were Dylan's touring band. Sounds more than a little like his output during that time.

Are you complaining? It's only been six years.
