Tuesday morning,
Never looked so good.
I'm already in,
In a daydream.

The sun is shining,
To wake me up.
No one around,
Just me and the sky.
I'm already in,
In a daydream.

I'm already in,
In a daydream.

The sky is calling,
Calling out my name.
Telling me just to stay,
Stay and don't go away.
I'm already in,
In a daydream.

I'm already in,
In a daydream.

In a daydream...
In a daydream...
In a daydream...

Already in a daydream...

Why does this band remind me of Dave Matthew’s Band?
If you guys like this song, listen to the band Pigeons Playing Pingpong. Great stuff.

I play acoustic sets at farmer's markets in the summer and I always play this song through my busking amp while setting up. Really sets the positive atmosphere and the tips flow into my can.
The more I hear this, the more I like it!! Thanx RP!
Great Tune! I never heard of this band  before. Thanx RP!

A nod to the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers! Fat Freddy's cat was always a favorite of mine. Sigh, the good old days...

Not sure what any of that means... but it sounds cool, bro!! :-)
Does the gittar sound like The Edge is playing it?

Always thought this was Toad the Wet Sprocket.

I'm a sucker for dotted eighth delays.

The lyric is great too.    Adding this to my morning motivation playlist.
MORE SNARE DRUM!!!

Check it out if you get the chance. It's available on ebay and Amazon for purchase. I personally have the entire collection of all the"ONXRT Live From The Archives" cds...Volumes 1-19.

Yes, the live version  of this cool song is much better than the studio version - great mix, more energy and well, just more fun!
Always hear this on commercial radio in the car.  This might be the first time I got a chance to here it on my main home system.  Excellent tune good dynamics.  Good tight percussion keeping the motor running.    Great arrangement with the guitar.  Well done.
I have not heard this song in many years and I forgot how much I really liked it!  There was a cuban musician out of Miami named Nil Lara that got a record deal around the same year as this.  I would confuse this for a Nil song since they sounded so much alike!
Thanks for the trip RP!
I've always liked this song. Just a good song. Plain and simple.

This. Is. Awesome.  Can't help but feel better after hearing. FJB has an acoustic version of this out there...equally as good, I think.

THANKS BILL!
Did anyone hear that version of "Mabelline" a few songs before this one. I was riding my mountain bike and really didnt have a chance to look at my phone, but it did help me get to the top of the hill!! Great version. Anyone know who did it?
Great song, did not know this band !

Perhaps, but you probably know that band didn't even exist until 5 or 6 years after this song's release.
What a great tune!
perfect "Tuesday Morning" song
Such a band---- please play more!!! The guitar and harmonies bring sweet tears to me. Absolute deliciousness in my ears.
Play more of this band please!
Love this tune!
Sounds like Pousette-Dart

Still hear this played on broadcast radio in the Chicago area.  Certainly not a lot of airtime these days.
Sure sounds like Kings of Leon.

That is a completely different song with a similar title.
And Darden's version is much better, btw

Music fits the lyrics so well.  Clean drum work, cleaner guitar.  Mmmmmm.  Always have to pause the work and daydream a little when this comes on.

BTW, Hugh Hewitt uses a clip from this track as bumper music on his radio show.

Bet it was. The BellyUp is one of the things I miss the most about living in San Diego.
Reading the comments on this tune reminds me that we all have different musical tastes. As for me, I've loved this song for years, and just never grow tired of it - just makes me feel good. I see where it "annoys" others. Ah, what a diverse world, and that's a good thing {#Cheers}
Just saw these guys on July 11, at Ziggy's in Winston-Salem....still glorious, and amazing to dance to...{#Bananasplit}

I adore this song!  Live version is a little more upbeat - but I'll take any version!  Open the sunroof and BLAST away!!
The live version is ideal, ultimate driving music. Let's rip the roof off this place! Let's blow the roof off this car!
This works well on a blue-sky cottony cloud Spring morning with cool breeze coming in through the window; love the daydreamy vibe!
Some sweet dotted-quarter-delayed guitar riffs in there!
Bland.
One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite hometown bands!
Yeah, I'm 19 again... In a daydream...

So glad to hear this back in the regular playlist!   This brings back so many great memories of those halcyon days of my youth when love was in the air and I walked with a spring in my step...(before my ultimate and cataclysmic demise).
 not saying its the best song, but I have a lot of good memories of this band from old days.  friend flashback!

XRT was one place --- very similar to RP --- where I got to learn a lot about great music.  No clear channel rap crap there.  I wonder if Lin Brehmer listens
So beautiful with the most amazing guitar work! Love it!
A great song while motoring down the highway. {#Motor}

takes me back to a very specific weekend - living in jackson hole, wyoming at the time (mid-90's).  my friend scott and i took a weekend fly-fishing/camping trip up into yellowstone, and i had forgotten my box of tapes at the house.  freddy jones was the only tape in the car, and due to no radio reception, the only music we listened to all weekend.  good times man, good times!  {#Cowboy}

I remember this whole album as being pretty good. I played it pretty hard in the late 90's.
Interesting how 3 versions of this song are on RP, but none in the playlist.  I think this is a great classic song.  How could anyone not like this?  It's brilliant.
first listen.... sounds alot like moe. - the guitar especially

Love the bright sound to this song, both the guitar and the melody.
very enjoyable tune

This song is incredible.  One of the best.
The solo reminds me of the background music in Metroid on the original NES  {#Biggrin}

What happened to these guys. This was a really good album. Refreshingly different at the time. Where did they go?
Love this one.
Great to hear this again!  This was on heavy rotation when I was a college jock (89.1, WONC!).  Used to crank it up in the booth!
I always think this is Monte Montgomery.

Doin' great Bill. I am not very productive this afternoon. Obama, pizza and Freddy Jones. Three kewl things that Chicago produced. I'm busy playin' catch up.

Love it. {#Dancingbanana}

The answer is...Yes!   Yes, they could sound more like the Boomtown Rats.  Where's the "Clemons-esque" sax featured on several Rats' tunes?  Where's the smirking Geldof-like vocals?

Here's the description of FJB on allmusic.com:

>>The Freddy Jones Band are roots-rock specialists in the tradition of groups like Little Feat, the Dave Matthews Band and the Allman Brothers Band. Having grown up in Chicago, the group has no particular aversion to blues, and much of their sound could be described as solid blues rock.<<

The next time you here "Rat Trap" or "Joey's on the Street Again", I doubt you'll be thinking of this cut.

I think this may be a little cleaner playing than Steve Howe. BTW, I do love Steve.
Why did I always think this was Darden Smith?  Did he do a cover?  Say - how 'bout some Darden?
Could it sound anymore like the Boomtown Rats

Awesome. Never thought I'd hear these guys again. RP, you continue to impress.
Just got to see these guys live recently! They're back together after a long hiautus and they put on a FANTASTIC show. Just as tight as the sound here. It was a small venue and the $10 tickets was nice too.
the very beginning of this track had me sweating... I thought it was that Eminem song... so glad I was wrong

"Tuesday morning never looked so good..." I wish I had TIME to daydream! :)
I've always liked this one. Real nice, upbeat sound. Never really heard anything else by these guys.
