That you'd like to be
Will come in three, my friend
Times thine inequity
The flutes of the chi
Will sound again, my friend
Wrap yourself up in gold,
The fruits of the old,
Are ripe to be told, my friend
For, it's not what you are,
How you've come to be
All this will will end and begin again
(solos)
Everything that you are,
That you'd like to be
Will come in three, my friend
Times thine inequity,
The flutes of the chi
Will sound again, my friend
Ween is like AI artist mash-up before there was AI.
I love this song 8->9
I just had to boost my 9 to a 10. This one hit the perfect spot today, working perfectly (somehow) right after Joe Strummer's Forbidden City
you can sing the melody, a day or so after hearing it now
Is your dog a Weenie dog?
Hence, Weengs.
Damn, take my up vote.
One of the things I love about Radio Paradise is hearing cool music from across the world, and of many genre's. I would never bother to notice the name and origin of most of these musicians if not for their website showing this info.
Ween? Uh, okay. Cool tune. And they're from a really unique place - New Hope, PA. It's a charming, historic town along the Delaware River. Who knew? Now I do.
I Agree on all counts!!
What an incredibly adaptive artwork on the album! I can see a flaccid penis, a uvula, woman’s bare back, heads swishing side to side. No offence meant ~ it’s just a fantastically creative adaptive artwork. I’d like to buy it please?

I can't think of any Stones tune which this song's melody resembles; not that there isn't. I can't even think of any Stones song which is in 6/8 "waltz time" as this one is. It is a pretty basic chord progression though, it could sound like a lot of other songs.
but the photos that accompany this song are a bit off
That's exactly what I was thinking through the whole song. A Beatles/Badfinger-ish flavor to it.
Thounght it was Wings!
I seem to like just about everything that Ween throws at me.
you are worng
It depends which direction you're wiping the hedgehog, I'd have thought. I'd advise using a squirrel - much furrier and more absorbent, and easier to fit in the crack :o)

So the bear wiped his ass with the rabbit. *ducking and running...*
"Hey rabbit..." : o )
Hear, hear!
I could be wrong, but it sure sounds like it to me.

It's good to laugh. Thanks, Cynaera...hope you're laughing with us. I'm guessing this fable isn't found in the Uncle Remus stories, though.
My little valve amp thinks that squeeky-toy is important and makes a big deal out of it. I could do without it, to be frank. Otherwise a fine song.
Maybe from the Wings period
Anyone?
Hence, Weengs.

Yeah... that Lennon was so, so boring. Never did do a damn thing.

And really the only raison d'etre for squirrels that I can think of...

That joke comes off much better if the bear says "Hey, Rabbit!"
After you deliver this joke properly, you can forever thereafter elicit a laugh just by saying "Hey, Rabbit!"
For some reason I can't explain, the funny part of the joke is the bear saying "Hey Rabbit!"

Has a nice XTC vibe.
yeah, exactly - I miss those guys
Has a nice XTC vibe.
yeah.
For you and the hedgehog no doubt...
Reminds me of George Harrison. That's not a good thing. Soporific and narcolepsy-inducing, though the chipmunks are cool and I second MsJudi's call for animal sounds in music. I can think of a few tracks that would be significantly improved by the inclusion of animal noises, in the case of this song a howling wolf pack. 3 from the somnolent Nottingham jury
Ween - Flutes of the Chi
A truly great rhythmic transition—involving two bands with single syllables, double vowels, and four word song titles.
Annoying and boring at the same time! Respect!
Just what I was thinking.
Hence, Weengs.
I laughed at this way more than I should have.
