tonight i'll be sleepin on a mountain top
i got a billion stars for my witness
in the morning i go down and the sun comes up
and i take a drink from the bitterroot river
have you been lonely
yes i've been lonely
i've been lonely too
have you been lonely
yes i've been lonely
i've been lonely too
tonight i'll be sleepin on a mountain top
i got a billion stars for my witness
in the morning i go down and the sun comes up
i take a drink from the bitterroot river
have you been travelin'
yes i've been travelin'
i've been travelin' too
(that girl can play)
have you been travelin'
yes i've been travelin'
i've been travelin' too
(lordy help me (unknown))

I always like the way the Indigo Girls play and harmonize, but I\'ve often thought they struggle too much with their lyrics. Nothing forced about this.

Agreed.
I can\'t stand the I.G. - but this song is pretty cool... Once again Bill finds something by a band I don\'t like that I\'ll listen to.
while I agree that this is definitely one of the better IG efforts, it still leaves me indifferent.

Different from some of the other IG stuff I\'ve heard. Nice playing. I like this one.
Gee, I was just saying how sick and tired I am of the IGs on the last song Bill played. I have to say I do like this one. It is quite different, and you are right gypsy, the harmonies are really nice. I like the guitar work as well.
Yet another terrific track from the new CD. Indigo Girls just keep surprising me, year after year.
I think the harmonies on this track are nothing short of astounding! This is quite a simple song, but the musicianship and vocal harmonies make it stand out for me.
