I was downstairs in the green room
Waiting for you to appear
I said hello to your family
I said hello to your friends
I said hello to the situation
Never yields
Now it's easy for me to tell you
That my love for you is sincere
But I once stumbled on these feelings
(on these feelings)
And I once stumbled on these words
(on these words)
Something you don't ever stumble on
Dear
Yeah you were so baroque
All of those words just to tell me no
And you were so soft spoken
With all of the others who said you weren't broken
Oh they just let you go
Yeah you were so baroque
All of those words just to tell me no
And you were so soft spoken
With all of the others who said you weren't broken
Oh they just let you go
When you're three days down the highway
And you're looking like I feel
And it takes a lot
(takes a lot)
To keep it going
It takes a lot
(takes a lot)
To keep it real
Take some time
(take some time)
For yourself and learn to yield
Waiting for you to appear
I said hello to your family
I said hello to your friends
I said hello to the situation
Never yields
Now it's easy for me to tell you
That my love for you is sincere
But I once stumbled on these feelings

Two Mojos agree...

Couldn't have said it better myself. Same harmonies, same phrasing, same-old same-old. Bleh!
OK OK, you detracters once again have caused me to expend precious energy to login and type.
Indigo girls are a tight group, have imepecible musicianship with luscious harmonies.
There's no accounting for taste, but many of you armchair critics obviously lack the perspective that comes with time. LIGHTEN UP

Those are girls?
the Indigo Girls are great.......in small doses.
they always remind me of my old friend, gypsy222, who i miss so much i can hardly stand it.
One of 'em is sounding particularly mannish on this track.
oh gawd, plu-eese - every song of theirs sounds the same - over-earnest and musically uninteresting ...
And to make it worse, it came straight after Arcade Fire ... sacrilege
LOVE those Indigo Girls! At one point they were pretty much all I listened too - had all their stuff in my car...
Please sir, may I have some more Indigo Girls? Woo.
IG still have it goin' on. Specifically, Amy's writing has grown by leaps and bounds in the past few years. This is just one example.
Fantastic for a Friday afternoon!
Amy did this solo with a mandolin at a show last year. Wow!
Kicky little tune, thanks...it\'s good stuff
