Make me a witness
Take me out
Out of darkness
Out of doubt
I won't weigh you down
With good intention
Won't make fire out of clay
Or other inventions
Will we burn in Heaven
Like we do down here?
Will the change come
While we're waiting?
Everyone is waiting
And when we're done
Soul searching
As we carried the weight
And died for a cause
Is misery made beautiful
Right before our eyes?
Will mercy be revealed
Or blind us where we stand?
Will we burn in Heaven
Like we do down here?
Will the change come
While we're waiting?
Everyone is waiting
Will we burn in Heaven
Like we do down here?
Will the change come
While we're waiting?
Everyone is waiting
Take me out
Out of darkness
Out of doubt
I won't weigh you down
With good intention
Won't make fire out of clay
Or other inventions
Will we burn in Heaven
Like we do down here?
Will the change come
While we're waiting?
Everyone is waiting
And when we're done
Soul searching
As we carried the weight
And died for a cause
Is misery made beautiful
Right before our eyes?
Will mercy be revealed
Or blind us where we stand?
Will we burn in Heaven

Everyone is waiting
Will we burn in Heaven
Like we do down here?
Will the change come
While we're waiting?
Everyone is waiting

I generally am not a Lillith fan (played to death on Canadian radio in the 90s; way too, um, emotive) but I have to agree —- this is a really cool song, with some really good guitar.

The guitar saves this song from being "sucko-barfo".
Beautiful, but me already being manic, I just wish all her songs weren't so sad or I'd be able to listen them more.

Great tune from an alright album. Definitely one of the better ones on the cut imo.

Duh - it's freakin Monday. Half of us still have hangovers from the weekend, the rest are just too shell shocked from work to be hyper at all on a day like today.
This is a great slow burn of a song.
I think Sarah has listened to U2's Zooropa CD to much.
Wow, this one hasn't been commented on in a while. I'm always glad to hear "new-to-me" stuff in the rotation, Bill!

An outstanding selection from a terrific musician.
TOO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus, this song is mesmerizing. I have her \"Mirrorball\" DVD and it\'s truly stunning.
This is one of her songs that always brings tears to my eyes...
Woah.
This is one of those that made me stop working and click over the see "who the hell is that?!?!"
Nice eye opener.
BTW, does anybody know who the guitar player is?
Sarah is an amazing artist (and Canadian too :D)
Glad to hear her on RP... please play more.... MORE!!
