Before I can open my all to eager eyes
Everything changes from the oceans to the skies
Perpetual emotion sadder place by me
Everything's breathing my air in all of tree

Yet my fingertips
Have a special sound
Yet my fingertips
They go around and round

This comical wisdom
Creeps into my brain
Away of my nerve
And also free of pain

Yet my fingertips
Have a special sound
Yet my fingertips
They go around and round

Pa-pa-pa-ra-raaa-a
Pa-pa-pa-ra-raaa-a

Electrical current
Hallowed be the name
Live my emotions
And vanish all my shame

Yet my fingertips
Have a special sound
Yet my fingertips
Smell of sodden ground

Before I can open my all to eager eyes (all to eager eyes)
Everything changes from the oceans to the skies

Yet my fingertips
Have a special sound
Yet my fingertips
They go round and round

Pa-pa-pa-ra-raaa-a

Wow, this is flowing over me like the Sunshine through my windowpane, melting the snow in my soul like is happening outside, DIG IT!
What a great name.
Emiliana has continued to surprise me with some really catchy tunes. {#Cheers}
Not 100% sold on this song yet, but nice groove RP has going this afternoon!!  Thanks, Bill & Rebecca!
{#Good-vibes}
At least she's not singing White Rabbit.

(Uh, here... I can help you with that...)
TURNING this one down...
Her voice makes me think of Gollum more than Bjork, but then, well, look at my user name...

I was just thinking that - except this one doesn't have the same intensity, passion, or range.  Having said that, I like this song.

Me too. Nice chill out tune.

Bjork or Borked? Please make her stop.{#Pray}
This song reminds me of my trip to Iceland. Mountains, sky, and ocean along with sodden ground.

Yes, a similarity, but that singing style, with the sharp enunciation and lingering on select syllables, was not "invented" by Bjork.  There were many nightclub and torch singers of the 1950's and 60's who sang that way, particularly if English was not their first language.  However, the fact that both singers are from the same country would have likely something to do with the similarities in their voices and styles.  Anyhow, I also like this song.

I went to Iceland a few years back and this song captures the nature of the north country or anything outside of the capital...grin. Love this song!

No not the same, sounds very similar though. WHAT A SEXY VOICE!!!!!!!!
This music is very nice, just Emiliane should practice more karaoke.

Yep, and I prefer the original.

I think this song is about masturbation. I really do.

Yeah, as with the last song (Autamata-Jellyman), and about 1038 others. This kind of singing and voice is really getting old fast.

Good rainy day song.
I'm learning about many of these artists so I thought it was Hooverphonic too...It's cool..chill music. fuh2 wrote:

Funny that...I must be the only one whose first thought was that this sounds a little like a Fiona Apple number. Very nice though.
I think "sounds like Björk" have been said often enough now... Someone asked (long time ago) if she released some more. Yes, she did. "Merman" with many fantastically covered songs and "Fisherman's Woman" which seems to be already known... It's fascinating how varied her albums are compared to each other.
About an acid trip?

I was okay with it then I got over-cuted by her voice right at the end.
Great tune. Reminiscent of esthero or zero 7, in a good way.

KT Tunstall - Other Side of the World (2005-09-03 22:01:34) Well crafted but un-remarkable. Apocalyptica - Farewell (2005-09-03 21:22:14) These knuckleheads again. What a joke. Jack Johnson - Taylor (2005-09-03 20:58:41) Ok, thats it, MUTE. Jack Johnson - Taylor (2005-09-03 20:57:42) Yeah, this damn thing goes On and On alright .... sheesh .. Bob Marley - Redemption Song (2005-09-03 20:15:26) I like Strummers version better. Cowboy Junkies - Something More Besides You (2005-09-03 20:10:48 ) Blech.
Tough day, Dave? Eesh. I really dig her voice. Pretty good tune, anyway.
Why was this record made ?
Ufff.....
Bjork-lite. Missing the power and raw emotion.
maybe I should more

Funny, I don't like Bjork much but this sounds like a poorman's Edie Brickell, who I do like. Go figure. I guess my hearing aint what it used to be, young fella.

this sounds a lot like / reminds me of RAcemason

Sadly, one of the overlooked (by the Academy) songs from LOTR... Wonderful voice.

Honey and iron, maybe, but "sodden ground?" Then again. . .
I've been curious about this artist, since seeing that Roland Orzabal (Tears For Fears) has production credits. Interesting. Like her voice, but it sounds a bit like early Sneaker Pimps.

Hmm. That may make you happy, but I don't buy it. Just because she says Yet my fingertips Have a special sound Yet my fingertips They go around and round Later she says Yet my fingertips Have a special sound Yet my fingertips Smell of sodden ground Those lyrics don't strike me as "self pleasure." Special sound...smell of sodden ground. Besides, it hardly fits into the scope of the album.

Ditto re the song. Meanwhile, it takes a LOT of work for Bill and Rebecca to put together these play lists and they can always use help. Best bet re more Emilliana is to try some uploads. For the time being, please enter some of her other hits in the song comments so we beknighted souls can check them out.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Okay okay !! I LOVE this song... but, how do I say this nicely? Diversify? I've been listening to RP since around Feb and I've heard this song at least 4 times. According to the posts, it gets played every three or four weeks. Can the playlist be so limited? Or is this part of the archived playlist that is on remote while Bill is out? No complaints since I've heard more new tuneage here in that time than ANY other music source. But Emilliana has a couple of other winners, too. Just my two & 1/2 cents.

That's funny, this song doesn't make me think about turning japanese at all. Actually I wonder if it's about a spiritual/cosmic connection with the world. I think it's just one of those songs that is left to interpretation. It could also be about gardening and running your fingers through the earth!
ick.

I believe she has only released the one album.
I picked up this album a few weeks ago. Soo good. Its the only album that I can seem to get ahold of, aside from a bunch of singles. Does anyone know where I can get any of her albums?
Hmm...good song I wouldn't say she sounds like Bjork at all... Maybe a wan na be version ;)

This song definitely caught my attention as well at the end of the movie. Like you, I had trouble really hearing it because of all the people who have to leave right when the credits start rolling.

Nice, atmospheric piece of music. Not much of a song, of course, but the sound makes up for that, for the most part. The sound/production has always been extremely important in popmusic, but nowadays especially, it seems (From lo- to hi-fi). Many songs (I'm not talking about electronica) wouldn't hold up with just an acoustic guitar, IMO. Maybe an old fashioned kind of argument to judge a song upon, but it still works for me. Btw, it's Björk, not Bjork! "Björk lite". I like that one

Yes! The entire album is wonderful. I had my doubts at first, since I was sure I was only drawn to the Icelandic accent, but when I heard it I knew that this was a real talent and not a Bjork clone. Now, months later, the album still holds up and is one of my favorites.

I never thought I\'d say this.... BJORK LITE!! GREAT HASTE, LESS THRILLING!!
Definitely a slight Bjork style feel to this, but without the ascent into surrealism that usually accompanies said singer.
Good and off the beaten path. The groove and sound tectures remind me of Massive Attack

Yup. Overall it's more upbeat and pop-oriented than this particular song, but well worth having. Check out 'To Be Free' or 'Unemployed In Summertime'.

noticing that Icelandic accent. i\'m enjoying this. like the sound.
I suppose that the title of the album is related with Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel: \"Love in the time of cholera\" Curious
Woah... Bjork lite! Good stuff.
