What a ....
Please ....Please ... take this song away.....
I have always felt there was a little more "World Beat" music played on RP than I would like......this is one that I would prefer be replaced by something from another genre - unlistenable after the first 30 seconds.........
I tryly enjoy ethnic world music but this guys voice is a little too much over imposing over everything else..
Not a fan.
I like world music but this is really derivative and repetitive. Mute.
I like "world music" , but this is more like Bul Ma Crap! Please to lay off the subtitle stuff.
Someone needs help!
great voice
Long live ignorance! It really can bring some joy. I don't believe in coincidences... I have no idea what the text is about ( ), but the tune is the same as in Russian ~150-years-old folk dance melody "Gipsy Girl". Compare with the song by Vladimir Vysotsky "My Gipsy Song" (he took the music for his genious verses (the same song in French))

And most times ignorance is just plain bone ass ignorance. Find out about things, broaden your horizons, you may be surprised what you will learn and come to appreciate by understanding what it is you are critical of. :)
You hit the nail on the head! Couldn't agree more. :nodhead:
I dig the groove, but those vocals... Yikes!
Please Bill, make it stop. make it stop!!
the more i hear it ,the more i like it. ok,i admit not a 10or 9 but not bad at all.
could not necessarily call this a favourite song but i do appreciate hearing some African music. As a relatively new listener, i have been lamenting the lack of it on RP. thanks for putting me right ...
if only I could rate this a minus-10. ...
I started off quite liking this, but after what felt like the 20th minute I started losing the will to live.
I like to think I'm an open-minded (and open eared!) person, and I do like "world" music, and indeed I like this music, but this guy's voice just grates on me :(

Orchestra Baobab is cool, and their record covers are cool too. So there.
I like it! Like a lot of African music, the singing/melody in this song is not that special, but I love the rythm and guitars. Oh, and the saxophones too! :bananabanger:

Some "World" music is good, this is not.

Of course, in some instances (like this tune), ignorance is bliss!

Nice segue from Afrocelts to some most excellent \"afro-pop\"
