Ternheim kind of reminds of the gorgeous Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, who plays a journalist in the outstanding danish TV show BORGEN, about Denmark's first female prime minister and her struggles to stay in power without betraying her convictions and loosing her family. (Highly recommended!)

For all that they're a good band, The Doves have all the subtlety and finesse of a nail-studded club across the bonce, whereas Anna is subtle, evocative, atmospheric and so typically Scandinavian. It's the devil's own job finding her CDs in proper record shops in the UK, though (screw Amazon).

For some reason, every time I hear it this song reminds me of a James Bond movie. It would be perfect as the 007 signature tune after the opening scene, you know, the psychedelic opening titles with all the naked chicks silhouettes?

Man. I stumbled upon the video for this song while looking up the stuff she'd done and... I like the song, but I LOVE the video. I guess I'm a child of the video era, but I am always happy to find a video that stands on its own as art. The vid for girl laying down is good too... mostly in the fact that it personifies the way I felt during the chorus (main character, flying). Check them out.
