One of the most beautiful and haunting songs ever composed. I do hope they tour again in 2024.

What a pleasure to hear this tune again after so many years. I loved so many tracks on this amazing record when it came out. This one such a beautiful and soothing track. At least that's how I hear it. I just don't get the Radiohead hate. And I'm really glad that I don't.

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan RH, however, this group is like some jazz acts.
So many layers in the mix (timing, timbre, rhythms) that take you places while listening in a comfortable place. Since I listen a lot at work, it is not the place to go deep into 'listening land'. :-)

This is certainly light years better than that whiny "This Mess We're In" song with P. J. Harvey.

Reminded of this story of a couple of years ago:
Live concert started with rather experimental music, but hey.. it's Radiohead, right? So the audience was really excited to hear the "new tunes" and as the first notes drifted away gave the band a standing ovation.

Going +1 on this based on the cool sounding percussion on this one.....it's an 8 and up there for me on RH tunes; LLRP!!

This album is bittersweet for me - I love this song and the entire album for that matter, but I listened to it way too much while driving home after taking my mom to chemotherapy.

Haven't heard much Radiohead in my life (well, I haven't been at RP for awhile!) but I like this song. It's spacy, ethereal, and sort of lulling/comforting. I can live with that.
Love the song, but had it turned way down. Thought I heard Beth Orton singing Echo and the Bunnymen's "Sugar Kisses" without the refrain. How bizarre.
Fantastic Tune, check out the live performance of this tune , "In Rainbows From The Basement" , the 720P full video is money if can find it

I'd love this song done by some other band with a great singer...Saw them at Outside Lands last year. One of the best rhythm sections in rock music - so tight! Thom sounds much better after a studio remix than he does live.

I'm amazed at the low intellectual level of some of the Radiohead fans. When faced with people who think they suck, all they can muster is name-calling. I always thought that Radiohead was just mind-numbing noise - and there's the proof. This song is just one among the pile.
Better get used to Radiohead, cause you'll be hearing them for a long long time as long a there are stations like RP around.

this band make diferent, original and impressive things but always very good job - 8.
Absolutely amazing CD. It's simple yet ingenious song writing. I won't attempt to compare to other Radiohead CDs but In Rainbows is quickly becoming a (not the) favorite amongst devoted fans.

Seeing them perform this as the sun set over Grant Park was absolutely sublime.
Over the last 50 years I've seen the release of only a handful of truly great albums. Sure, lots of great music, but rarely a truly great ALBUM. Thick As a Brick, side two of Abbey Road, Pet Sounds. Albums that are greater than the sum of their parts.
For me, In Rainbows is quickly climbing into that rare air. Every time I listen to it, I like it more and more. I've never really been captured by anything Radiohead has done before, but this album is amazing. The rhythms that Phil Selway weaves in and out of the music, the guitar and bass magic of the Brothers Greenwood. And Thom Yorke's voice. Not really a great voice, I don't think. But no other voice in the world could so wonderfully meld all of those great songs into a great album.
