Lonely little love dog that
No one knows the name of
I know why you cry out
Desperate and in devout

Timid little teether
Your eyes set on the ether
Your moon in a bella luna and
Howling hallelujah

Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooooooh

Nameless you above me
Come lay me low and love me
This lonely little love dog
That no one knows the name of

Curse me out in free verse and
Wrap me up and reverse this
Patience is a virtue
Until its silence burns you

And something slow
Has started in me as
Shameless as an ocean and
Mirrored in devotion

Something slow
Has sparked up in me
As dog cries for a master and
Sparks are swirling faster

Lonely little love dog
That no one knows the ways of
Where the land is low is
Where the bones'll show through

Lonely little love dog
That no one knows the days of
Where the land is low is
Where the water flows to
And holds you

There is something comfortable "humming" in the base section, Song is begging for more listening.
thank you PSD {#Hearteyes}
Too bad "1" is the lowest rating option.

Ha.  Sounds like a lorry reversing into my living room.. Disconcerting.

Ditto here. I got up to see where the sound was coming from.
How DULL it sounds! 3.

I hear ya.  It's usually a waste of time doin' that.  Critics are people too, but their ears are no better than mine own.

At the risk of upsetting people this sounds like watered down Ben Harper to me

Son took me to see TVOTR when they were in town - great show, cool vibe.
Son went on to give me this CD and one from grp YeaSayer.  Similar to TVOTR in the use of multi-layered melodies.

Great getting exposed to new music from one's offspring - never stop learning, never stop pushing limits - EVER

Yeah!!!...me 3...one of the best things to share in life.
as Morpheus asked Neo, "do you want some more?"  I too would reply "Hell Yeah!"
F yeah, TV On The Radio! Can we hear some more stuff from Nine Types of Light, PLEASE?

How about "Will Do"? Or "Second Song"?
Along with The Black Keys, TVOTR is as original a voice as there is today. Remarkable vision and execution.

Not this stupid song again..... I was hoping BG had taken it out of rotation!

What happened on SNL last weekend?  They were terrible!  I like this.

I am pretty sure they posted something on the website about the problems they had with the sound during that performance.

TV On The Radio simply rocks.  I live here in SoCal and am seriously considering getting on a plane to catch them in concert next time they are within 1000 miles!

The only decision is Austin (I've always wanted to visit and have not had the chance), Oakland (Closer, I have friends there) or Portland (Further, but the friends I have there I have no seen for quite some time)

Decisions... decisions...

I think it's spectacular that you get to share this with your son.  Lucky boy.  Lucky father.  Long life to you both.

OK, I really like this (7 to 8)

Absolutely wicked sets for the last few hours. Appreciate it! God knows it ain't easy to please the masses without annoying those with taste! But I'd say that's been achieved with the huge variety today ;-)

This whole album just keeps growing on me... If it gets too much, I'll have to undergo surgery. Luuuuuvittttttt!!!

I like other TVOTR tracks I hear on RP...but this one just grates on me.

Another song not good for the morning.
The melody reminds this RP listener of Sufjan Stevens.

Good song.
cool person, you are absolutely right!

no wonder i like it!!
This band really reminds me of another band, I just cannot put my finger on.
Someone I was listening to 15 years ago or so.

Oh, that worked out quite well, my friend . . . {#Wink} Happy Friday!

Sorry to be like Excelsior here in relation to endlessly repeating my distaste for this, er, "song". I'll save you all the vomiting emoticon, but this track sure is overplayed for such a crappy song.

Glad to see in the Now Playing list that a song is listed before it starts playing.... just enough time to yank off the cans so I don't have to be subjected to this again!

Had to rate it an 8 just to balance out the alternative judgments. Yes, an acquired taste, but this qualifies as melodic for them.

Dec. 05 - What he ( ^ ) said. TV On the Radio = pure static.

The end reminds me a lot of stuff I heard from Björk
I like it better than another song i heard from the new one.... but that's not saying too much.  I hear the PG / world music vibe too.  A five for now from me - decent.

Kind of feels like Peter Gabriel wrote it... that is cool. I love PG. The singers voice is interesting, kind of soothing and not overwhelming.

I wanted to see this band with Delta Spirit last weekend, but was lazy about making plans, and it sold out before I got tix {#Razz}

Delta Spirit is also fantastic, so if you are going to a TV on the Radio show on this tour, get there early enough to see them {#Dancingbanana}

i never quite got tvotr...but i'm starting to.  a 7 and rising...
Just picked up this album...good stuff. Great variety, this song is just one of TVOTR's "thangs".
This is quite cool. Some of their stuff is a little "difficult" to listen to, but this is smooth.
Far better than "Things You Can Do"! I'd be interested in hearing more from the album.

This should be an automatic account ban.  Everywhere.

Kind of liking everything I'm hearing from TV On The Radio, which means I'm liking what I hear of them here at RP since they don't seem to show up much elsewhere.

Nine.  Instantly.

These guys are getting a lot of press these days. Interesting that Bill followed it up with Porcupine Tree. I was trying to put them in a category with Flaming Lips... I'd like to hear more of this album, anyway. If it can displace some PT, so much the better.
