I don't mind her singing so much (unlike lots of folks here), but the percussion straight out of Stomp rubs me. I just see a bunch of fakely-dirty fellas beating on aluminum trash cans and such. Sorta wrecks the whole lot for me...

I can't believe it's been over 5 years since I first listened to this album. This song is still just as evocative and just as startling as when I first heard it. I'm in my office at work listening on headphones and her voice combined with the track's percussive insistence continues to transport me. Super.

Florence is fabulous, and the lyrics read as a meaningful love letter, so good to remember such moments

This actually is getting better to me. The drums... love the drums and it fits right in with the drama of the piece.
But ultimately it sounds empty to me. Shouting into the void? Shouting at traffic? I don't get it.
