Let me be your everlasting light
The sun when there is none
I'm a shepherd for you
And I'll guide you through
Let me be your everlasting light
Let me be your everlasting light
I'll hold and never scold
In me you can confide
When no one's by your side
Let me be your everlasting light
Oh baby, can't you see
I'm shining just for you
Loneliness is over
Dark days are through
They're through
Let me be your everlasting light
A train going away from pain
Love is the coal
That makes this train roll
Let me be your everlasting light
Let me be your everlasting light
Let me be your everlasting light
Be your everlasting light, oh
The sun when there is none
I'm a shepherd for you
And I'll guide you through
Let me be your everlasting light
Let me be your everlasting light
I'll hold and never scold
In me you can confide
When no one's by your side
Let me be your everlasting light
Oh baby, can't you see
I'm shining just for you
Loneliness is over
Dark days are through
They're through
Let me be your everlasting light
A train going away from pain
Love is the coal
That makes this train roll
Let me be your everlasting light
Let me be your everlasting light
Let me be your everlasting light
Be your everlasting light, oh

This is quite OK, but why not play more T-Rex? I don't mind that this band borrows from the best, but really...

Just listened to their latest, Hi/Lo, in its entirety last night. Your statement from years ago couldn't be more valid now.
I like them, to a degree, but their overwhelming derivativeness makes me cringe.
They don't make me cringe, but in the old days of broadcast radio there were certain bands that I was fine with hearing on the radio but I wasn't motivated to buy their albums. The Black Keys are in that category for me.

No words can express how much I love the Keys.
This song is most suitable for this moment.
I've learnt a thing or two lately...

Would like to hear a Marc Bolan version, but that is not likely to happen on this astral plane.
very thanks for this serie, glad for know you since 2007. thank you my friend.
Thieving Magpies, but I dig em anyhow
Thank God for The Black Keys...

This is one of those bands I'm ordered by everyone to like. I tell them I do, but deep down I don't.

I hear a little T-REX.
They have been mixing Coldplay´s Yellow with Linsey de Paul´s Sugar Me.

I agree: T Rex has risen from the vinyl graveyard. Which is a good thing.

Like Bolan sound. Children of the Revolution for example.
Bang a gong. Get it on......
could be better
Mambo Sun
Prefer their non-falsetto efforts.
Whew! Really tough to listen to...
Good Music
Not a fan.

The Keys just keep getting better, I love this band.
Just had to shut off RP. Wow, that was giving me a headache. Needs to be remixed.
I am not a fan of the Keys normally, but I like this one. Very different from their usual fare.
uh they're kinda doin it fur me right now
Sorry... sounds like redundant self-absorption land to me
Get it on....bang a gong.....get it on......
Fantastic album if you like this track. I love this track and give the whole album an 8. Not a bad track to be heard, which is rare.
This does not sound like The Black Keys which is why I like it!
Upped to 8. RP lighters up...
Nice!
I was thinking the exact same thing.

Some lo-fi fx work, and some don't. The lo-fi on the guitar works, but on the vocal, not so much.
These guys kick butt!
A brilliant, solid 10.
I like it, I like it. I gave it a 10. UPPED it from a 9.
This song is so crunchy! It's kind of like Grape Nuts when you've run out of soy milk.
Assault on my ears.
That's kind of annoying....
Weak piece on a good album!
Album nominated for a Grammy. I think 4 Grammys all together!

Can't believe how much I like this one!
I started out not liking it, then sort of, then kinda, then..I'm giving it a 9 now and bought the MP3. Now I listen to it in the car, and rock out....like this: , cause I'm playing air drums.
Really like this!
Diggin' this.

Album cover kicks @$$ for it's cleverness.
THESE GUYS ARE SO COOL !
Interesting disc. At once novel and retro—something you'd swear was done by some hippie band in a garage down the street...
30 seconds in, and I like it already!! Why haven't I heard of these guys before? Thanks again, RP :D
Agreed. Love the Keys...and I've adjusted to their new sound. I was taken back a bit when I first heard the album but it's one that I go back to over and over again. Can't get enough of these guys.
