Oh the river, oh the river, it's running free
And all joy, all the joy it brings to me
But I know it'll have to drown me
Before it can breathe easy

And I've seen it in the flights of birds
I've seen it in you
The entrails of the animals
The blood running through

But in order to get to the heart,
I think sometimes you have to cut through
But you can
You can
You can

Just keep following the heartlines on your hand
Just keep following the heartlines on your hand
Keep it up, I know you can
Just keep following the heartlines on your hand
'Cause I am

Honestly, you're not a sea and land over land
Creepin' and a-crawlin' like the sea over sand
Still I follow heartlines on your hand
This fantasy, this fallacy, this tumbling storm
Echoes of a city that's long overgrown
Your heart is the only place that I call home
Can I be returned?
You can
You can
We can

Just keep following the heartlines on your hand
Just keep following the heartlines on your hand
Keep it up, I know you can
Just keep following the heartlines on your hand

What a thing to do
Oh whoa oh
What a thing to choose
But no, in some way I'm there with you
Up against the wall on a Wednesday afternoon

Just keep following the heartlines on your hand
Just keep following the heartlines on your hand
Keep it up, I know you can
Just keep following the heartlines on your hand
'Cause I am

This song is fantastic and her voice is absolutely incredible.
So there!

Agreed.
She doesn't so much comment on the world through her art as she does occupy a growing corner of it.

I for one am glad that she wears her large point of view on her sleeve.  Those who call her overwrought might simply be intimidated by her.

She's not my favorite vocalist, but its good to hear something from them on RP

This song yanked me out from a self-involved rant about how much pain I'm in and how far behind I am in my NaNoWriMo word count.  Her voice is so damned powerful - so evocative and emotional... I have to give this one an 8 on first listen, but I'm pretty sure it'll go to ten soon. Goooood stuff.

Hey!  Cast off your pain and anguish.  It is a transient thing anyway.  You are who you are and others are who they are.  Strength of character means you cry, you weep, perhaps you wail, but when the tears are finished you flex your self and move ahead.  Always moving ahead.

I don't think that's the kind of strength she needed right there, Misterfixit.

This song is legal now in Washington and Colorado.

Is that a compliment or a complaint? Seriously, I'm not sure — with this group I can see it going either way.

I love F+TM.{#Music}
Wow not screaming as she usually does over the music and she really does have quite the voice and very good range.  She needs to learn she does not have to belt everything.
What an awful way to start the morning. PSD and another cuppa . . .
I'm light, johnj. just saying that this is just horrible shit.

Terrible....
Goes for all her music...
Please stop supporting this album!

her voice is so enticing I would love to try and physically return the favor
She just cancelled her most recent concert quoting laryngitis.

Good lyric (can actually hear it in acoustic version). STILL DON'T LIKE THE YODELING!!!!!

Sorry, "Marginal" is too positive, this repellant shouting has got to be Sucko Barfo.

From the all-knowing wiki...

The heart line is the first of the major lines examined by a reader and represents love and attraction. It is found towards the top of the palm, under the fingers. In some traditions, the line is read as starting from the edge of the palm under the little finger and flowing across the palm towards the thumb; in others, it is seen as starting under the fingers and flowing toward the outside edge of the palm. Palmists interpret this line to represent matters of the heart, that is, more literally, our emotional living; it is therefore believed to be an insight into how the emotional sides of our mindframes will act out and be acted upon during our lifetimes, and often said, to what extent we possess emotional reservoirs within us, for example, a chained or gridded heart line( or emotional line) is often seen in people who are highly strung, nervous and draw upon emotional strength and insight to attain their ambitions,i.e. they wear their 'emotions' on their sleeves, often to draw strength. Such chaining or gridding on the heart line (emotional line) is often seen in intensely creative artists such as musicians and writers, as well as deeply driven scientists. Dealing with emotions, the line is also claimed to indicate romantic perspectives and intimate relationships, again, a chained or gridded heart line is said to point to a flirtatious attitude to love, and one which can be prone to fall in love easily. On a physical level, the heart line is indirectly associated with heart health, moreso through the effects that emotions can have on the body such as with blood pressure. A chained heart line is often associated with high blood pressure, but also of an 'adrenaline junkie' attitude in life.

Does not get old. Feels like drugs. Give me more.
Every time this woman comes on, I stop what I am doing and listen.  I don't exactly know "why" yet.  There are many accomplished vocalists that come through this channel, but when I am working and in the zone, it is just background.  But not this one.  OK, now where was I?

I have to mute this. My dog keeps howling.

Ack.
Yanked me awake, too, so I could switch the iPlayer over to something else for a few minutes.
