Lost in skies of powdered gold
Caught in clouds of silver ropes
Showered by the empty hopes
As I tumble down, falling fast to the ground

I know I'll wither so peel away the bark
Because nothing grows when it is dark
In spite of all my fears, I can see it all so clear
I see it all so clear

Cover your crystal eyes
And feel the tones that tremble down your spine
Cover your crystal eyes
And let your colours bleed and blend with mine

Making waves in pitch black sand
Feel the salt dance on my hands
Raw and charcoal coloured thighs feel so cold
And my skin feels so paper-thin

I know I'll wither so peel away the bark
Because nothing grows when it is dark
In spite of all my fears, I can see it all so clear
I see it all so clear

Cover your crystal eyes
And feel the tones that tremble down your spine
Cover your crystal eyes
And let your colours bleed and blend with mine

But I'm okay in see-through skin
I forgive what is within
Because I'm in this house
I'm in this home
All my time

Cover your crystal eyes
And feel the tones that tremble down your spine
Cover your crystal eyes
And let your colours bleed and blend with mine

My Icelandic last name would be Josephsson.

I almost took this path with my recent name change on my gender transition, but I was happy enough to get rid of the “Jr.” suffix, didn’t want to tie myself down similarly. 🤷🏼‍♀️
So many whiny, negative comments. RadioParadise's mission statement is to play an ecclectic mix of music, which they nail perfectly. Just hit the PSD button.

It's annoying that people are annoyed by music they can easily change on psd, but also annoying is the lack of attention to your and you're.

(Ooh hey, thumb downer, you don't smell that...it stinks like an unnecessary "hey" or "woop"...and some primal drumming...catch it now?)

The thumb-downers drive me crazy, particularly when the criticism is fair, even if I disagree with it.
Is anyone hearing 5/4 time on some of the main verses, maybe at the beginning?  If so that's pretty unique for an RP song.

Yep.
oh man, i'm so over this genre. so many bands sound the same with the singalong, primal drumming, etc...

At least there isn't a loud "HEY" type sound in this, more of a "WOW-O-O-OH"

I do miss the "HEY" though, I keep expecting it at any minute.

They just replaced it with "WOW-O-O-OHH"

Two trick pony, but it's alright.

Family Guy's take on this...

I think 'Quite likeable' and 'Pretty good' are the wrong way around.

Basically the songs are all the same, centered around a singalong.
Somebody's enjoying their new Crash Cymbal!

I originally thought they were singing "crystal night" and I wondered why would you write an upbeat song about Nazis smashing up Jewish businesses.
And the guitarist is a lefty.

Spot on. It will become a fingerprint from this timeframe. Posted 11 months ago by bseib from 40 21' N 86 53' 40 I’m going to agree - you called it. Though musical cycles like the one identified here exist throughout modern history. I’d still love to hear a playlist of those band’s top hits.
This is music for travel.
ooooo ... ooooo ... sorry can't stand them.
This would work well in a Beer hall.

Top hat much?
I was going to say that the lyrics read like a bad translation from the language of another country. Then I saw that Of Monsters and Men are from another country, lol. Guess they're ok, then, if a little too poetry club.

I still like the song though.

Wow, I poisoned (probably) my body with that stuff for years. What a call back. Hope it doesn't catch up with me in my late 50s

And "over the top" like Florence + the Machine.    Just too much "blow power" (no, I didn't mean "blow powder" in case you were wondering lol).

I just love this song. Makes me very happy.{#Music}

I don't know what it is about these guys, but for some reason they epitomize the "hipster" sound to me.  Don't ask me what that means...
I always used to think this was a commercial for Crystal Light...
Boring and formulaic.
Drum like your heart's still in art school!
Just wondering how much Sigur Ros dislikes this band.

Instant "1" for using the Millennial Whoop.
I dislike this band almost as much as Sigur Ros
Overrated band, they play always the same song, same structure, same singalong, very boring.
Hey, folks -- Does anyone know why the new Radio Paradise site refuses to play on Safari? Or how to make sure its awesome creators are aware of the problem?
Love these lyrics. What a wonderful piece of music.
Of Monsters and a Perfect Circle?
The first time I heard this I thought they were saying "whoa, cover your crystal lite".  What an odd beverage to sing about...

I still like the song though.
Not even a Carl Bunchesque tom-tom riff can save this song from a 2.
The Beatles: Were just a band.
Led Zepplin: Just a band.
The Beach Boys: Just a band.
The Sex Pistols: Just a band.
The Clash: Just a band.
Crass: Just a band.

This song has some nice melodies underneath it though...
I really dig this band, but I gotta say it's a relief hearing them depart from that old formula of chanting "Hey" after each verse.
As far as formulaic, amateurish, hipster crap goes this is pretty likeable!
They performed in my neighborhood the first week of the Coachella this year (2016).
No kidding... just 4 houses down the street.

Yeah, definitely cover that up; you don't want fruit flies getting in there.
saw them this summer on the inMusic festival - great atmosphere, great interaction with people. One of the best bands (and live acts) this year at the festival (IMHO, of course ;))

Count me out.
Saw them in Osheaga in 2012 and will be seeing them again this summer  :)
What a terrible singer. It's like she's choking and something is blocking her windpipe. After a few songs it's more of the same.
Boring, give it a 3
They're music is all similar but always listenable. This is not great but quite vibrant. A lot of Scandinavian acts have it going on. Sign me up.
Happy to be the first, for my first time!  Hope to see these folks in NYC this spring!
