I love the ocean too
How it's painted green and blue
In my recurring dreams of you
Oh wake me not, oh wake me not
We're better when we're fast asleep
When you rise me from my fragrant sheets
It's that innocence I want to keep
Oh wake me not, oh wake me not

Find me sleeping on my feet
The most delightful man you'll ever meet
And there's nothing that compares to him
To your own sleepwalking man
You know I wanna be on your side
Part of me just wants to run and hide
People scare me more than pain you know
Let's walk into the fray again

Will you grace me with your presence here?
In your room of dying light
Beyond the reach of everything
In the sanctuary of the night
I'd rather be a sleepwalking man
I want no power or command
Over people I'll never understand
Oh wake me not, oh wake me not

Find me sleeping on my feet
The most delightful man you'll ever meet
And there's nothing that compares to him
To your own sleepwalking man
You know I wanna be on your side
Part of me just wants to run and hide
People scare me more than pain you know
Let's walk into the fray again

A lot of favouriting, rating, and playlist building has made to realize that what I like, simply, is strings. I'm a sucker for them.
something about the sinusoidal pace that interests all here
Maybe you guys are being harsh. Perhaps this is only a 5 on Radio Paradise, but in the wider context of all the music in the world, it's more an 8...
Nice voice, dreadfully boring songs. Shame! He could do so much more! What a waste of a great talent! {#Sleep}
no more schmalz please {#Stop}

nothing, but he and his song is not that much POP and mainstream

Horrible and boring song, A solid 2.

Feel like these guys somewhat ripped off the general shape of the melody. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQiUYoLAaNM

Nasty? Really? Roger had his time and place. I wouldn't want to listen to him all the time, but he had some good songs.

But yeah, it is a true-ish. Was idly thinking this when I saw other RPs saying the same thing.  It also reminds me of Robert Goulet when he was wandering into self-parody.

This guy was brilliant in the band Madrugada, which tragically broke up when one of their members committed suicide, as they gave his voice the instrumental depth that it needs. This backing is a bit ho-hum and really doesn't bring out his voice in its full spectrum. A good enough song but just a 5 from the Nottingham jury.

Nottingham Jury is spot on with this comment... This track kinda leaves you waiting for something epic coming in from behind Sievert, but ultimately disappoints.

This is the guy from Madrugada?!!

Now it all comes together. I have fallen in love with the Norwegian TV show "Occupied" available with subtitles on Netflix. (Must watch). The theme song is "Black & Gold" and so good, that I went googling to discover it's Sivert Høyem. That voice.

And thanks to RP I had discovered Madrugada a few years back, saddened to learn they were no more.

That voice.

I will be loading up on Sivert Høyem. Thanks, RP, and thanks @fredriley.

Looking forward.
Sivert Høyem - Marginal again !
With every new album he begins to sound more like Roger Whittaker.
Listening to music while I sleep, and he may read in his sleep.
He has a great voice but the vocal effects make him sound like the lighthouse family.
That voice!

Agreed.  He has such a powerful, emotive voice.  But this arrangement doesn't let it shine.  Still good, but not great like some of his other stuff, especially his live ones.
