Know what the sun feels like on my skin
I wanna know what the Moon feels like within
I know what the sun feels like on my skin
I wanna know how the Moon gives life within

And the same Moon rises so far of me as you
and there is not really much about that we can do
I see the light and your bright keeps me up all night
I see the light and your bright keeps me up all night

The world that I'd known is seen by the light of the Moon
And there is light that I can only want more then I do?
And there is light that I can only feel when I'm with you
And the same Moon rises so far of me as you
and there is really not much about that we can do
No, there is really not much about that we can do

I see the light and your bright keeps me up all night
I feel the light burning bright
I see the light and your bright keeps me up all night
Keeps me up all night
Keeps me up all night

And I listen to the grass grow
And I wonder what I don't know
And it's really not much about that that I can't do

The same Moon rises so far of me as you
I see the light and your bright keeps me up all night
I see the light and your bright keeps me up all night
I feel the light brightening up
I see the light and your bright keeps me up all night

Help me understand what this post has to do with Beth Orton, or this song from Kidsticks?

Welll... if you go over to legacy.radioparadise.com the 30 day numbers are still there.  This song has had 2 plays in the past 30 days (as of 8/24/2023).

I really hope they don't get rid of the legacy site because it's got a lot of useful features.  I hate app versions and everything Web 2.0 because it usually goes hand-in-hand with useful features being removed.
going up
.. cool! :)
Has anyone else noticed BillG is no longer programming RP? William is a rebrand. Apparently William really lies Zack Brian. I hear him constantly like a top of the hour call sign.  Lots of songs are played incessantly since the new website eliminated "played (X) number of times in the last 30 days" feature. I can't be  the only one to notice? WTF?
There are definitely some incorrect lyrics listed here. This is what I found on another site:

I know what the sun feels like on my skin
I wanna know what moon feels like within
I know what the sun feels like on my skin
I wanna know how the moon gives life within
And the same moon rises over me as you
And there is not really much about that that we can do

I see a light, ain't it bright?
Keeps me up all night
I see a light, ain't it bright?
Keeps me up all night

And there is light that I can only see by the light of the moon
And there is light that I can only want more than I do
And there is light that I can only feel when I'm with you
And the same moon rises over me as you
And there is really not much about that that we can do
No, there is really not much about that that we can do

I see the light, ain't it bright?
Keeps me up all night
I feel the light burning bright
I see the light, ain't it bright?
Keeps me up all night
Keeps me up all night
Keeps me up all night

And I listen to the grass grow
And I wonder what I don't know
And I listen to the grass grow
And I wonder what I don't know
And there's really not much about that that I can do

Well the same moon rises over me as you
I see the light, ain't it bright?
Keeps me up all night
I see the light, ain't it bright?
Keeps me up all night
I see the light, ain't it bright?
I feel the light, ain't it bright?
Keeps me up all night

You shouldn't be ashamed of your wacky pants—they should be ashamed for being the kind of people who jump to name calling just because someone else has different taste in pants.
Or religion... or politics.

So glad she got over that bad case of the hiccups.

LOVE
Kidsticks.... Be sure to look for them in the frozen food aisle.
Great bass, boy vocals. Ugh.
What a bass line!

....yeah....Proc is great at using these "S.A.T. words" - and maybe in an attempt to keep them from falling to the wayside due to disuse....language is important so I'm glad for an opporutunity myself to 're-learn' some of these and even happier to have a new word to look up (Cromulent is a new one!) - so thanks to Mr. Thesaurus for using them here!!

I've been at a 7 on this one for sometime...staying there now though maybe a +1 one day....Long Live RP and the English language!!

It doesn't always work.  One of our top-bods at Whitehall on TV the other day described the book as a "theo-saurus".  The world's gone to the dogs.

Thanks.  Also, I was using specific words from a prior post to which I was responding, which is below.  I don't ordinarily use those words; it was a matter of context.  However, I took "cromulent" from The Simpsons.

Jeffry Hammond.  Saw him/them live  when he wore that suit.  So freakin' funny. And I was so freakin' young.  Thanks for the pic.  Although I have no idea why it's on a Beth Orton song page.

okay! I need this!
7 --> 8 The more I hear it...

The same thing goes for politics.

The tone, the phrasing, the little pauses in the delivery. What's not to like?
You can always count on her for experimenting, pushing boundaries. Kind of like Joni Mitchell. We need these people.

Otherwise, all the bands start sounding like Arcade Fire. Bleah.
very good effect . This very "remote" guitar or something similar........

Still surprised at Beth's new stuff I'm hearing on RP. She really sounds like Tanita Tikaram to me on this. I think she's still very creative!

My thoughts too. I'm not a big Orton fan, but her work is always interesting.

This is nice and fresh from her. I like it.
Nice to see good new music from Beth Orton

Interesting to read comments not just on this song, but most of her work. hmm all a matter of taste, but I do hope to catch her live one day, before I  leave this planet. {#Music}

Wow... I had to google "banausic".  Learn't a new word, (which I'll probably forget by tomorrow). Anyway I like the song!!  8.

Too much stuff and clutter for me.
Skin and other stories.
Bleh.
Thought I had found a new Annie Lennox song.
I like Beth Orton, but this leaves me a bit puzzled and speechless.
She's vibrating.
An improved BO, IMO; not the annoying affected style of some of her earlier work (it's not just me, either). I like this one.
Excellent song, It caught me at the first listen.
A solid 6 if I've ever heard one - good enough, not something I would choose, but will listen to it through.
Kidsticks.... might be good with barbecue sauce, not sure.
