Met Deadmau5 at Electronica in Istanbul. It is interesting meeting people you don't know. Seeing the crowd react to his music was cool. Me? I was the emcee for the event. My part of the show was to (invisibly) get the crowds worked up before the artists started their performance.
So the greenroom bar had lots of people that did not know who was whom. I've been the phantom voice around the world. No one knows where... ;-)

Today this was played after Hooverphonic, yet Bill announced "before that, a very mouldy German", probably referring to Brahms who, I see here, has also been played before this Deadmau5 song. Be more careful with your anouncements, Bill..!

This is what I enjoy about listening to RP, music that I never hear anywhere else.
I was listening and thinking "ugh, this is like Deadmaus, but where the mouse is actually dead, or fell asleep".
I get up to post and what do you know?

Yawn. How about more high energy music during the work day. Music for an lsd trip.

I'm sure this music is great in a dance club, but for listening on the radio it gets really boring.

That was possibly one of the greatest excuses ever for... breathing air and playing Matchbox cars, at best.

R.I.P. Avicii, a Deadmau5 contemporary.
IMHO, this song desperately wants to be something.... it has all of the elements.... but they cannot find each other. The reason for that is they way they are mixed, but that's just my ear/heart/feedback.

Yes and apparently he got the name from finding a dead mouse in the power supply of his computer.
On that subject and for any techie computer people out there... I will have a go a trying to fix any computer problems so one day I opened up a computer power supply (you know the big unit in the back of computers with all the wires coming out of it) and ignored the warning security sticker and found a blown fuse inside. However the fuse was permanently attached and so I thought I would cut the soldered connections and resolder a new fuse back on. A quick continuity test on the multimeter showed all was good so I fitted the power supply back into the computer case and with a broom handle flicked the power on at the wall socket.
Well... the blue flash lit up the warehouse like a mass coronal discharge and with a bang tripped the power to the whole building.
Oops - you live and learn - and yes luckily I did live and I have learnt.
Computer power supplies are the spawn of Satan!
LOL...
Another possible lesson: you know those little numbers stamped into the metal ring on fuses? They're kinda important :-)

Bill said this was "Deadmaus" but it's clearly a '5' on the end of their name.

Ooooh, that's pretty nice!
Wow - Bill just discovered Deadmau5 with how much he's playing it these days! Nice.
6 +1 today....now at a 7 after the magically sublime segue from The Hip Abduction — Higher....that BillG guy is pretty good at what he does!
I have this track on my m/cycle playlist and make damn sure it is early in the ride. After 350 miles, it could be deadly.
no thanks
Nice to hear some deadmau5 on RP :) This one is quite soft & chill
Um...what?

That's because he's an e1337ist.
I like his music, I wish he wasn't a douche in his interviews, though.
