Whoopa, hey mesa, hooba huffa, hey meshy goosh goosh.

Looking at the world through the sunset in your eyes
Travelling the train through clear Moroccan skies
Ducks and pigs and chickens call
Animal carpet wall to wall
American ladies five-foot tall in blue

Sweeping cobwebs from the edges of my mind
Had to get away to see what we could find
Hope the days that lie ahead
Bring us back to where they've led
Listen not to what's been said to you

Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
They're taking me to Marrakesh
All aboard the train
All aboard the train

I've been saving all my money just to take you there
I smell the garden in your hair

Take the train from Casablanca going south
Blowing smoke rings from the corners of my mouth
Colored cottons hang in the air
Charming cobras in the square
Striped djellebas we can wear at home
Well, let me hear ya now

Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
They're taking me to Marrakesh

Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
They're taking me to Marrakesh
All aboard the train
All aboard the train
All aboard, ooh

EXCELLENT TUNE!  I bought this album, right after it  was released. I was 14yrs old. WNEW FM 102.7 NYC, used to play it a lot.  Brings back fond memories.  Thanx RP!
GREAT TUNE!! ICONIC!!   PS: The couch and house  on the album cover were gone the next day, when they  went  back to  re-shoot the album cover. There was an empty lot, everything had been bulldozed!

One of Graham's best efforts (and CSN's first single).
Seems like forever ago (well, it was half a century).
btw, the album cover is correct now.

I think he had written this song when he was still with The Hollies, but they never recorded it.

My stepfather loves this song, we recorded it together! Well, despite its boogie-pop joyful tone, it's  not so easy to sing!

CSN make it sound effortless, don't they? Ranking as singers, I'd call the band, NCS.

Ranking songwriters, it's SCN
I must have heard this album a lot when I was a toddler because although it was released the year I was born (so I don't remember it coming out) each song on it causes an almost unbearable wave of nostalgia to wash over me every time I hear one.

Happy, Joyful Tune.  We need that these days.
I've been singing and bopping along to this since I was in my teens in the 70s. It's suddenly taken on new significance as I've just booked 15 days in Morocco.

Wrong album cover.

Dust it off, please.  It would be cool since today is the 44 aniversary of its release !
It is the correct cover because I grew up singing my heart out to this  beautiful piece of vinyl!

A toe tapper if there ever was one.

I'm guessing that's Stills playing all those little riffs.  Fun song!
