To those who remember LennytheB, an update on his recovery from a battle with the bacteria Vibrio Vulnificus (sp?) after eating a raw oyster on the beach in Alabama.  He very nearly lost his life, then very nearly lost his leg, then very nearly lost his foot.  He did lose part of his foot and with the help of some very talented medical professionals at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center and the good wishes and prayers from many of you here, he has emerged alive and grateful for everything in his life.  I visited with the young folks in the family that shared Christmas at his home this year, and they think he is much too skinny, but in good spirits.  His gut has not fully recovered from the bacterial onslaught and the medical intervention necessary to keep him alive long enough to begin healing.  It is still going to be a long road to full recovery.  His devoted wife, JoAnn was by his side the entire time and continues to be the best wife and partner a man could ask for.  She recently bought him a trip to Hawaii for his birthday in November!  I will house sit for them in their beautiful lake front home and keep the dogs company for a month and am delighted to be able to help out somehow.  I'm very grateful to this community for offering up their energy so he could live on!  Maybe when he recovers a little more I can convince him to expend some energy once in a while to post in RP again.  I always enjoyed his writing and he has always been a source of inspiration and understanding for me.  Thank you all again for being a part of his recovery!
