I really hope he blows them off. Its time to get down to the real business of government, who is accountable to who. Obama and Holder have thumbed their collective noses at our courts for long enough, starting with Obama's contempt of court over drilling in the Gulf. Holder holds himself above the law as well illustrated by his handling of Fast and Furious and the Black Panthers in Philadelphia. Now Obama is thumbing his nose at the SCOTUS, trying to bully them into seeing it his way, with one of his own appointees onboard who helped write the freaking law, who should have recused herself. Obama is beyond arrogant. Doesn't have to be Constitutional if Congress passed it. One day its a tax and the next day its a mandated penalty. Some Constitutional scholar he is, not. Liar, he is. A bigger liar than even Nixon and Clinton. Equal to LBJ and MacNamarra however.

I think it would be much more powerful if he spoke in terms of upholding already established precedents regardless of political affiliations. And it's probably a bit late - I think the votes are already in.

so government is going to pay private doctors or private insurance companies, or maybe even private hospitals to service the population? just curious i'm thinking this isn't like the free market it's probably like they were lobbied to put corporate friends on the government's payroll regards

Column: Health care law too ill for court to fix by David M. Walker, who is CEO of the Comeback America Initiative and former comptroller general of the United States USA Today March 26, 2012
Where do we go from here? Americans must demand that our elected officials return to the drawing board, irrespective of the Supreme Court's decision, and come up with meaningful reforms that create a responsible, affordable and sustainable health care system. Unfortunately, given that it is a presidential election year, it's likely that political parties will revert to their usual talking points. Democrats will argue that we need to let the law take effect, while Republicans will continue to urge for a full repeal. Both are misguided, and voters need to hold them accountable. When Congress and the president do finally get to work, they need to meaningfully engage Americans on what level of universal coverage is appropriate. Reform also needs to provide an annual limit for federal health care expenditures, and also change payment, malpractice, tax incentive and premium approaches. It's time to be honest with Americans. We can't provide everything people want and expect our children, grandchildren and future generations to pay for it. This is fiscally irresponsible and immoral — and it must stop.
