We miss a lot, imo, when not becoming more involved in the diversity of life around us.  The wonders of life, interacting, existing on the well known pale blue dot that Earth is, on the outskirts of an average galaxy—-just one of hundreds of billions (that we know of).

Primates are special as evolutionary relatives. Dolphins, elephants and many other species openly indicate a sentience of their world... and us. But to me the whole spectrum of life from the microbial to the giant vertebrate cetacea (whales and their relatives) is both an accidental miracle and perhaps unique.but who knows?  Through the universe Life may be as common as dust?

Awww...I "met" Ivan the few times that I visited Zoo Atlanta and he was my favorite. I loved watching him. Here are some pics that I snapped during my visits.
