Venezuela oil production has declined to circa 732,00 barrels of oil per day which is less than what neighbouring Colombia produces (above 800,000 bopd).    Amazing.

The latest declines are in part due to the punishing economic sanctions levied by the eternally righteous Trump administration.      The suffering of ordinary Venezuelans will increase as a result of those sanctions and paradoxically, the Maduro regime may last longer.

Dear American neighbours:  Why do enjoy punishing ordinary civilians so much?   Especially, when it seems that collectively the USA will suffer in the long run.

Do you get your jollies hurting people?

people, through no fault of their own have been suffering for years

when is a good time to put aside politics and help out?

who is doing the work?

Send in the USAID!
Guaido Set to Enact Uprising Rooted in US Regime-Change Operations Manual
With its hands tied when it comes to military intervention, only covert actions — such as those described in the RED Team document — are likely to be enacted by the U.S. government, at least at this stage of its ongoing “regime change” effort in Venezuela.

The only certainty is that the Venezuelan people are getting screwed by both sides.  I wish that Trump and Putin could come to some understanding that although US interference is unjustified and unwarranted, the people need help overthrowing the brutal Maduro dictatorship and will have much difficulty doing this on their own.   Now is the time where an improved Russian US relationship is desperately needed.  The Walrus of Death must be extracted and then good faith negotiations can begin.

Edit: The Monroe Doctrine also calls for non interference in European affairs something I wholeheartedly support.  I am thinking NATO is a nice little poker chip to bring to the table where Putin awaits.

Imagine a world where every bad outcome on the planet isn't the result of scheming by the secret inner workings of the US government.  Where once again the concentration of power required for top-down control of a country's economic activities results in a despotic, corrupt, brutal regime; widespread poverty; a refugee crisis; and human suffering on a massive scale. Again. Just like the last time, and the time before that, and the time before that.

Go on, try.

OK, we'll get back to that. Try a smaller conceptual leap: being opposed to invading other countries doesn't require being an apologist for the evil things those other countries do.

No, really! That's a thing you could actually do.

It isn't even (secret) scheming. Nowadays, it's as overt as can be. Syria, Venezuela, Iraq, etc., etc. Because you obviously know better, or at least like to think you do.

Ah yes, those evil things that others do...
