Sounds like fun!

I grew up about 90 minutes outside Toronto so Rush was definitely in the Local Heroes category. Great chops on those three...

I dunno, guys...I think the lyrics and vocals are amazing...I mean, it's rock-n-roll, you can't take it TOO seriously!

Honestly, I think Peart grew into a fairly good lyricst in the late 80's early 90's but I only know one other Rush fan who doesn't hate those albums because of how they sound. Some weird redneck reaction to synths that I've never understood.

I agree the over all production on those albums is harsh but sheesh.

Great music...irritating lyrics.  I can handle Geddy's voice but some of the lyrics are just too heavy handed (see:  "Limelight", "The Trees").

But I will say that "Freewill" has one of the best guitar solos I've ever heard.

I listen to him once every two or three years, just to help keep the lunatic fringe located . . . oh.  Wait.  Not that Rush.

Frequency-of-listening is about the same.  Reasons—and reactions—are very different.

I've still yet to see Rush, hope I have as good a time as you did when I do!

i liked rush a lot in high school (from 1976-1980), and then i was engaged to a guy who was in a rush cover band.
he dumped me for the married singer in the band.

so .. no.  i don't really care for rush anymore.

I found Limbaugh entertaining during the first Clinton term - after tha, - I found the band to be inspiring up until Presto - then, we amicably parted ways.
