I don't know Rose, that's a big statement. We co slept with both of ours. Actually we put one adult in the spare room and then the baby had that side of the bed. Very practical for nighttime feeds and so on. No fluffy stuff on our bed. The only time it was dangerous was when the baby and i both fell asleep whilst feeding.

oh boy, don't i know that....gawd.....thanks for the suggestion. i do periodically look on the company job postings page. it's a really good company..... they own a LOT of hospitals and clinics, and are very stable....maybe something ELSE...something that requires some thought, and provides some fulfillment.... will magically appear some day.... a bored out of her mind accounts receivable clerk who works ONE doctor's accounts can hope!!

We were advised against co-sleeping because "you can roll over on the baby and suffocate it". I want to know what kind of mother is capable of sleeping soundly enough to roll over on another person and not wake up... Edit: just back-scrolled and see that you've already addressed this. People are just ignorant sometimes.

only about 3 more waking hours left of my only vacation in ... well ... 2 years....and it was just 5 days off. it went by way too fast. almost makes me want to cry, thinking about going back to work tomorrow. guh.

I think what they're getting at is that adult beds with down toppers and fluffy pillows and blankets are dangerous. Which they are, and obviously they are trying to correct some behaviors in Milwaukee: people there must not be 100% up to speed on these things. The ads suck because they don't spell out what they're trying to correct. Keep the kids safe: on their backs, not too soft bedding but co-sleeping itself is not the issue. Neither of our kids could sleep in our bed. They might try and we'd try but they'd just kick & thrash so we'd take them back to their crib and they'd go.

only if you are intoxicated, or are extremely obese. people, especially mothers, have a sense of other beings in the bed.
