Hi, I THINK the issue occurs when the browser has no Flash plugin, or when Flash is blocked by another browser extension, e.g. FlashBlock, Noscript, etc. I see the same behaviour in a virtual machine with Linux and an old FF without the Flash plugin. Disabling Flash in Internet Explorer seems to require a reboot. I'll reboot later and see if I can also reproduce it in IE. I see the same issue on the forum pages. The issue does not occur on the "RP Classic" site. Cheers, CE This doesn't have anything to do with Flash. It's an iFrame layout issue. The new RP site contains 2 hidden iFrames that control audio playback. Sometimes, when the initial page load is interrupted, one of those hidden frames gets assigned a big chunk of screen space. I'll be working on a fix.

I did it again! It's usually when I'm surfing via the popup. I'm going to train myself not to click a song title there because that's how it all starts *click* *crickets* *dammit!*

Hi Bill, Since the new web layout, I'm seeing intermittent issues with scrolling in the playlist, in Firefox. It does not seem to occur consistently. What I see in Firefox: Sometimes, the bottom of the playlist screen shows a broad bar with the background image. The playlist does not extend "below" the browser window, but only scrolls in a box (a frame?) that fills approximately 80% of the height of the browser window. The browser scroll bar is only as long as the playlist "box", not as long as the browser window. What I expect to see, and what I see in Internet Explorer: The playlist extends all the way to the bottom of the browser window The browser scrollbar is as long as the browser window. I played around with the FF inspection tool, and with Adblock, and the grey area seems to be the frame "radioparadise.com/rp2_player_1.php?" If I block this frame in adblock, I see the behaviour that I expect. I am having trouble finding a method that always reproduces this, but the following seems to work, and exagerates the issue: If I press CTRL-F5, and then press PageDown before it finishes loading, then FF shows the frame "rp2_player_1" on almost the entire screen, and the playlist & browser scrollbar occupy only the top 10% or 20% of the window. NB I have not yet tried this with my various blockers/plugins switched off. Do other people see the same behavour?

I'm about out of options — other than to switch Chrome back to MP3 streams. I hate to do that (Ogg sounds so much better) — and I've had Chrome + Flash issues in the past that will be back in the mix again.
The funny thing is that the PC version of Chrome didn't cut out near as much as the Mac Version while both were playing at the same time. Gave a nice echo through the house as they were never exactly in sync due to the buffering. At least it showed the problem on this end wasn't from connection problems.

DaveInVA wrote: Sometimes the cutouts dont last long enough to know if a refresh helps. Anyhow if you do a full page refresh it doesn't stop future cutouts as it will do it again sometimes almost right away.
I did try a little experiment and here are the observations:
The PSD NEVER cuts out when playing.
I set up my old Music Server which is a PC running Widows XP Pro with the same version Google Chrome as the Mac ans set it to 192k also. Its on the same Westell DSL Abcess Point with 12-15mps connection.
Then I ran them both simultaneously.
The PC version almost never cuts out while the Mac version cuts out constantly.
However that PC is as of today a Hackintosh and I now have no more Micro$loth OS's running in this house.

P.S. Any idea on the AppleTV reason? They're not streaming an ogg stream, are they?
The AppleTV iTunes app doesn't include cover art display functionality for streaming radio. It should display the artist & title, though.
