Probably, Pops hasn't been eating much, but he can't turn down bacon and eggs. It may be ok. Plenty of preservatives. I wouldn't eat it, but you can. You'll know if it was bad.

The fat in bacon definitely can go rancid. You will be able to tell by the disgusting smell as you start to cook it.

I've got about a pound of expensive bacon that I opened right before Pops went in the joint, it's been unopened in Tupperware ever since. It's got to be 2 months old. I opened it tonight to take a peak and there is a weird looking yellow spot on one of the top pieces.
