Radio Paradise

Major garden overhaul today - all the dirt shoveled out, laid down some protective wire for the gophers, then added vermiculite and chicken poop to the topsoil that I'd removed, and put it all back in place. Then PVC arches and clear plastic draped over to create a temporary greenhouse. A 144sq ft u-shaped thing with legs 4 ft wide so no leaning or walking into the dirt.

Hopefully, this year, the money I save on buying veg will be more than the money I spend on ibuprofen after doing all that work...

when i was younger man my circle of friends had a few green thumbs

an ag engineer challenged us to a friendly competition with 100 sq ft

almost anyone can tend a garden bed that size (or raised beds too)

all of us were pleasantly surprised at the amount of produce we grew

my grandparents were big on growing grub and my grandmother was out of control with her flowers

some fond memories for me
