It must be the cooking of a human-curated listening experience and variety enhancements we so often keep reading about that keep making a stream unique in various ways.
I went to a different URL on the Sonos and managed to get through the loop (Bill Withers is next, followed by Death Cab), but yes, the web player is still stuck on Carole King.
After the last play of "No Surprises" at 3:51, the web player went to Bill Withers' "Use Me", Death Cab, Pretenders, etc...
The web player (using Chrome) shows the same loop from "Remember" to "No Surprises". The "What's Playing" list shows it starting at 2:29.

Same here! VERY new and rather annoying! It’s like listening to commercial radio — playing the sane damn songs over and again!! I first noticed it 7/5/24 or so, I hope they fix this!

It depends on how you look at it. Me, I'm listening since their beginning. But lately (say, the last 12 years) I couldn't listen any longer on a daily basis, because of repetitions. They just weren't acceptable to my brain. More mixes (streams) from RP's end didn't exactly help the situation.
Granted, the common great era of POP, ROCK, etc. have gone by and what has surfaced since is like butterflies, once here, once there, but nothing remotely alarming. Not the least.
Of course, this can't be the responsibility of a radio station.
