Same here, just a few minutes ago. Chromium-Legacy, stable edition on MacOS 10.13

Seems to point to a somewhat "shady" (not normalized?) audio source of Sound and Vision...

I listen to RP on my Motorola phone almost every day when I'm going through my daily beautification routine 😁. I've noticed over the past couple of days when I open the app, the song that starts playing is the same song that I was listening to the previous day. This makes me think I'm no longer in the Main Mix, but it does say Main Mix at the top of the screen. Is this something new? I understand this radio station doesn't function like your typical linear terrestrial station, but is there even such a thing considered as a live Main Mix anymore or just a pretaped program that you can jump into anytime?

Thanks for the hint. I did restart my phone. Today it was fine. I assume the CarPlay on my Nissan had to restart, which solved the problem. Thanks.

Time Code not updating in CarPlay app. I am using RP App Version 8.2.5 (1054) on an Apple iPhone 12 with CarPlay on a Nissan Rogue. The time code at the bottom of the song that is playing is not updating. When a song starts it freezes the timecode at .03. If I pause the song and then hit play again, the timecode updates to the current position in the song but does not move from there. The next song will come on when the current one is finished but it again pauses the timecode at .03. This is true for any of the feeds as well as the download feed.

Tom Waits has two pairs of duplicate albums: Closing Time and Orphans (where one song has an album subtitle).

"Feature request" in the sense of feature, not bug"

Would it be asking too much of wizardry on the side of RP company politics to make this RP Community "Listener Forum" any more usable on mobile phones? I think this would greatly be welcomed by many listeners.

I just discovered the MacOS app which is great! I'm just trying to figure out how I can use the controls on my keyboard — whenever I press play/pause, Apple's Music app will start instead of controlling the RP app, is this expected? Am I missing anything here? Thanks

And thanks a lot for all great...everything ;)

For the past few days the stream has been randomly dropping throughout the day at various intervals , every few songs to an hour or so between. I have to manually click the 'listen now' button to start up again. This has happened previously , but not  in several months. Listening via the website on iMac, OS Sonoma 14.5, Firefox 126.0.
I checked my internet connection and it's fine @ 370Mbps - no other internet/streaming issues. Anyone else having this problem?

Creating Blocks problem

Hello, I've been a solid user of the app for many years and rely a lot on playing cached blocks when I'm out and about

In recent weeks/months the facility refuses to work. I cleared the cache, nothing; uninstall and reinstalled the app, no change.

There are no error messages. The process appears to start and then just drops into "resume download" after a minute or so. I assumed that downloads run in the background, maybe not?

I tried contacting tech support a couple of times but no response

Has anyone else out there had trouble and if so managed to fix the problem?

My 'phone is a Samsung S20 running Android 13, patched up to March '24

Best,

P-)

Hi,
Our cache blocks are served from the US.   It's likely just having trouble reaching our servers.
What you can try is.  The auto cache fill feature in settings.    It is more aggressive and will keep trying to download your cache blocks while the phone is charging.
Should be able to top things up while charging overnight.

Can find that in  settings -> cache options -> cache autofill

Is there a separate thread to report data quality issues in the library?

Song ID #37583 has some whacked out metadata.  https://radioparadise.com/musi...

The track, Hayling, did not appear on the album Another Fine Mess (2003).  It appeared on Machine Says Yes (2002).

Also, the track is not 1:37, but rather 6:48.  At least, the original is.  Maybe RP is playing a radio edit that's closer to 4 minutes?

Regardless of what gadget I am streaming from, when I have it on the "My favorites" stream, every 20 minutes or so, a song starts for only a few seconds or so then goes to another song, or a song shuts off in the middle somewhere and goes to the next one.  Actually, those are the same issue, just a matter of time

.
Anyone else get this? Any known fix or workaround? Thanks RPeeps

I haven't heard this from other listeners. Are you streaming to a Bluetooth speaker/headphones? I have seen phantom commands coming from Bluetooth devices starting playback and skipping.
