Short answer, as I understand it...

Bill and Rebecca had moved south from Paradise before the fire so they, and RP, were not personally affected.  Sometime later they decided to separate and Bill and his (wonderful) daughter + friends decided to team up for the next iteration of RP and HQ was moved back north to Eureka, CA. They now have an actual store front and Bill made a choice to go by his birth name. Ergo, we now refer to our (quasi) leader as William.

hi everyone! (and maybe even Bill)...

not long ago I returned from an extended sabbatical (7 years) during which I was unable to listen to RP.

i did however know about the paradise fire while it was happening, and went through some periods of angst wondering what might have befallen our intrepid host and his treasury of grooves.
I was beyond relieved when I returned and tuned in to hear dear old bill + daughter still rocking!

so could I please learn how that all worked out? Obviously they moved some time before the fire, but what's the story?
