Red always looks nice on a car... or truck. No trip far north this year. Hawaii took the priority. San Luis Obispo is the furthest north we're going.

We decided on Oatman/ Kingman, Arizona for an old Route 66 back road trip. We haven't been to Oatman, an old mining town full of "wild" burros, since 1975. It was also full of Harley riders. And more than a few burro keisters... We swung on by Lake Havasu City on the way home and walked across the World Famous London Bridge... A good quick trip down some cool back roads. Can't wait for the next road trip.

Going to allow 2 weeks, with a week down in the middle for the recovery. Heading straight down but will probably ramble on the way back, depending on how I feel. Maybe up 95 to DC, then NW from there. Lookout bokes ... Haven't been anywhere since the wife's 40th in 2011. Ain't a pleasure trip, but its a road trip and outta Dodge for a couple of weeks. P is staying home on this one and I'm staying at a buddy's in New Bern for the ordeal. The trip and the whole deal (about 2k out of my own pocket which is very empty, still trying to figure that part out) will still cost less than just the tooth extraction at the cheapest place here in Cleveburg.
This has been on the stove for over two years as my teeth are a casualty of all the chemo I had. Eating has been difficult for the past two years with no working molars. And all the pain will be over ... I'm looking forward to finding out how much pain I am in when I notice things don't hurt anymore.
That's because they don't have any licensing requirements for dentists in SC,the stuff is usually done by barbers or tile workers. I'm temporarily moving into the guest bedroom after the regular baseball season while I clean up my cave during the downsizing/moving prep.I don't know how long it will take,I'll be doing that at night while trying to get as much day work done with the yard and house exterior as I can before winter.I'm way behind because of the injuries, but I'm at about 95% now.I even ran(not far ) today for the first time since I got hurt. The main bedroom is storage, but there is a hospital bed buried in there somewhere if you can deal with that.If not,I do have 2 lovely couches available, you can take your pick or even rotate between them at will.
