I'm not going to post a quote because I'm not trying to push my theology down anybody's throat. I don't know why people read stuff that they know will irritate them. It is like certain RP posters. If you see that a post was written by someone who always spews hate and bile then DON'T READ IT. I believe in Buddhism this would be called karma yoga. Taking joy in the everyday activities, using them as mediation even. Every minute in life is precious, even the shallow ones, and we must try to take joy in all of them, because that is our purpose here on earth.

Really? I am so sorry. But I bet if you really wanted it someone could send them to you. That wouldn't be unethical, would it? Since they are available to download for free? Wonder if the UK Amazon has free sampler downloads? Bet they do. Bet they have better stuff. You always have better stuff over there.

My musical edjumacation has benefited enormously. Here's to Naxos Well consider me schooled today. It reminds me of the time I told a friend that I didn't like celtic music. Next thing I know, I'm buying an entire library of the stuff. Maybe I just needed to grow up enough to appreciate it. That's what my mom says about veggies.

edieraye wrote:Hold that thought...
That was rather a longer hold that thought than I originally intended for it to be. Now what was I saying...oh, yeah. My favorite something or other. I think I was going to rap rhapsodic about Dominic Miller's Shapes. Something I am quite sure I have done in these threads before. I can't remember the entire story off the top of my head. The basic idea is that someone gave Dominic Miller, Sting's guitarist, some classical music. While everyone else was partying after the concerts he was obsessing over the new to him sounds. So he put out an album of classical music. Except that he isn't a classical musician. And he most definitely does not play classical guitar. His sensibilities are pop/rock. Which gives the CD a different feel. Some purists (snobs) disdained the effort but I fell head over heels for it. Amazon has the snippets to listen to in their music download section. And don't be surprised if I distorted the story - it is rather fuzzy. In other news, the vet said Samantha has lost another 0.2 lbs. I was sure she was starting to gain weight again so am rather disappointed. My sweet baby girl...
